omg Placoderm, did I said that SH5 is perfect? Did I rate it at 10/10?! All I'm saying is that finally SH5 become playable! Right before patch was a total disaster, an epic fail, u name it.
Now again, lets say it together in slow motion: p l a y a b l e. Not perfect, not bug free, but playable. If this is still not clear, I can translate it in other 8 or 10 languages or even draw it down. I still have my hate on Ubi because they sold me a beta release for the price of a finished game ![]() Also, let's turn back a bit to that ancient SH3 and compare it with SH5. How much time passed until SH3 become a really good sim? From my understanding, GWX was launched about 1 year later after the SH3 release, right? I'm asking because I had quit playing sh3 after 6-8 months after release. Sadly, this is the trend in SH series.. launch a bugged game, then patch it and let the moders fix it and make it shine as the community want. SH5 has a bigger potential to become the best in the series and this is what the moders say. I only feel it. Anyway, I still hope and pray that there will be no other further SH under Ubi logo. This company is a joke, bunch of amateurs and I really hope that some other company will take over this job and bring us a polished and finished game, that will not hit the market before is not properly tested and will be build on the community wish list and expectation. |

I can now give a lot of credit to Kylania and Magnum because they have been deservedly both critical and praiseworthy in their recent posts about SH5. Fair and balanced.
![]() But how do I still feel about Ubisoft and their shady business practices? ![]() |

Its the prettiest SH game yet - thats for sure.
Its not great but its not bad either, give it a year or so and it will somthing special Im sure. As for all those who love/hate it - They are neither right or wrong. ![]() its just down to their own personal expectations. So weather or not you will like it, depends on what you are expecting. Sounds like i need to retest the AI subs post 1.2 ![]() Last edited by JU_88; 05-18-10 at 06:21 AM. |

One more thing guys. Just take a look in the moding forum, is incredible how active is and how much passion and effort is put in the mods there. Is really impressive. We waste time here with endless "I hate/love SH5" crap, but in the meantime there is some serious work going on there to make SH5 a great game/sim. And very soon I think we will see some uber mods shaping out.
I have to admit that TDW is incredible with his energy, he is working like a mad to bring the community something that one day soon may shape into a super mod. I don't use his mod now just because it looks pretty ugly and messy, so I better wait until he will finish the coding part and find time to touch up the visual part. But, for those who wanna feel the sim part of the SH5, his mods is a must have. Really impressive work.. this guy should be on Ubi paylist for his incredible work and effort. Wish I could do some scripting too and jump into moding to give a hand those guys.. If the game suck or not, is and maybe will an endless debate. But the community is just brilliant and that's a true story. |

No, of course not, Magnum. I never said that you did. Even if you had, you are still entitled to your opinion, as are all of us.
You seem very defensive. Take a deep breath and chill buddy. We are all on the same side here. I cannot speak for Firewall, but only for myself when I say that I am sorry if you felt targeted. Remember that opinions are like rectums...everyone has one, and they all tend to stink at one time or another. ![]() Playablle. P L A Y A B L E. (whew,...see? that was not so bad!) Quote:

Only with SH5 is the word 'playable' some kind of compliment.

First of all I wanna apologies for the offtopic and the huge screenshot but I will post it here before I will jump to TDW thread. Here is "a work in progress" about how the SH5 stock UI should look like if they were added the dials.. or better to say, how I imagine TDW UI.
![]() Notice, this is not a UI based on my personal taste but rather is an extended stock UI using strictly the SH5 CI. I tried to imagine how the devs would implement the dials and all that goodies we find now in TDW work. Is a work in progress because even if is not scripting, is a lot of work to figure out the right positions of the interface elements, for example I still have to work on the recon manual. I already have the solution, but it require a lot of time and that's not what I have right now. |
