This thing could run on my Cell phone as far as I'm concerned.
But if Units can not be imported?
It has absolutely no value to me.
It don't even fly right as a Frisbie!!

I took a gamble yesterday and ordered SH5 on the premise that 1.2 would be fixing some of the more major faults. I didnt expect it to fix everything, but main gameplay faults you would at least expect to be partially if not fully fixed. Seems asking for simple fixes is too much to ask judging from some of your responses. Wish i hadn't bothered now.

Oh well, at least ill be able to have some eye candy until patch 8.2 fixes things people are asking to be fixed now.

ju 88 you are correct i may have let emotion type alittle more than was necessary. But the point Im trying to make is though they are important in a simulator the physical graphics of the world around you are not the number one priority. And when your releasing a game what 4 years after SH3 it damn well better have better graphics with the rampant improvements to software and hardware tech. Having better graphics is a given, not a staple/ excuse why they lacked in other areas. The focus on a simulator should be the simulation, Action arcade games can have more focus on visuals.

Very disappointing the banding crap is still there as well. That is really blocking serious environmental modding. This game is a disaster. As this is Ubi's best I think we reached the end of the road.

Good report copper01, and excellent that Heretic's MFC is ok. Now to the no halo mod, I'd love to hear of that one cause thats the only one I've put in besides the commands cfg changes I made myself. And it's an important one for me as I really disliked the halo's and thought bubbles.

I geuss we haver to wait for someone to have rain, or heavy seas or both to see if the slicker suits got in on this patch. That was another of my beefs with the original release.

After little test:

Despite of all the (still) missing features and the (still) existing bugs i actually have at least a big improvement in fps/perfomance, in the boat and as well on the bridge (nvidia gts8800).

This is one thing you probably don't know, that UBI dropped unofficially the support for SH5, the devs that were working on SH5 are already working for another title (of course, not SH related) ... so forget about any other REAL patches ...

Post Patch -

Not sure if this is the right place for this but...

#1
While observing the crew loading torpedoes in the bow section I noticed that the crew kinda rubs "air" while doing the starboard side. Port is fine. The starboard side the crew is about a in-game foot off the torpedo and wheel.

#2
While on the conning tower with time compressed - the crew lags behind the boat, catches up, lags again. The kinda hover in mid air while they lag.

- did not read if anyone posted this yet....sorry!

This is correct. I suggest we pool some money and pay The Devs to do a Patch in their free time.

Of course they are... but probably not all of them, it doesn't take a full team to make patches to a game, this is what I believe happened in the case of SH4 too whilst many of the team were reassigned to work on HAWX etc core SH people like Dan & Mihai continued work on the patches etc.

Ubisoft are at fault here, they should pay for the changes, we have already paid for the game! Besides much as I understand where you are coming from, I doubt that the dev's contracts would allow what you suggest.
