Default new armor/hitpoints ratio for IJN Subs

new armor/hitpoints ratio for IJN Subs




according to empirical data from testing

armor/hitpoints are the value used in the v 1.5 of mod but for the J1M
armor 2/ hitpoints 2 should be the next ? version of settings in v 1.6 of mod

right it kindo works but where the radio antennae and snorkel only get damaged, both scopes get destroyed (again)...

1st attack :




second attack, two dc exploded close to the bow on the starboard side, more around :




they (barelyà got time to repair the stern torp room when the bow was hit..

third attack :


fourth missed me




fifth right on top of me ..

IJN Type A1 submarine :





I reduced the size of the zone 31 bow and of the zone 65 box (periscope sheers)

second attack in Peabody's DC training mission :




I had increased the hitpoints in the zones.cfg for both scopes (tired of having them getting destroyed right out), increased the armor on the sheer to 30 (only the attack scope is linked to that one) the obs scope isn't linked to a specific zone and I deleted the "father=313.

since nothing changed when I just increased the hitpoints on the periscope heads, I guess changing the armor to 30 did have an effect as this time they only got damaged.

Testing C2 with 2 bow torp rooms



one hit I saw near the stern, above the sub, one next to the tower up front.



a few of them hit all over : the dd came from the front and dropped its load on my head !



I think I'm sunk...



fought it off on the surface !! got hit a few times but we prevailed !!

Default allied ships damage mod from RFB



two hits each...

with stock damage model they explode right away (the smaller dd to the right) and the larger DD takes 2 to sink.

here not ! :











at least now they don't sink right away..


5' later :



the deck of the larger DD is underwater !

12:11 : DD sunk and second one starting to sink by the stern

payback : (too far !)

better, but she is sinking from the bow now... the semi transparent overlay shows the second attack's results - damaged electric engines mostly



even though my whole team was assigned to repairing the torp room bulkhead it kept flooding...



one DC exploded on the hull against the hangar's door, on the catapult...


gotta try and fix that planes transmition so that it get damaged not destroyed. already it seems the damage is more evenly distributed than before...

44% hull damage AOUCH !!!

sometimes the damage suffered does not show on the damage screen

like this time I had one periscope destroyed, I lost all my diesel and nothing showed ?????


any thoughts ???
