25th October 1941, grid BF14. Sunk because of sheer idiocy from my part. And my tonnage was at 185000t+ too
![]() Time to visit the sunny Black Sea again for a change I think. This cold, wet, hard and deadly Atlantic nonsense has a habit of wearing a man down at times ![]() |

Screwed up yet another career right after the successful one I wrote about the other day.
It was like this: As I said I decided to join the 30th/33rd Flotilla for a change, and went on my first war patrol from Constanza. The weather turned into c**p w/ zero visibility after two days and I bumped right into a destroyer 2 times in a row without seeing the buggers at all!!! I survived the 1st encounter just barely, but the 2nd one... BING-BANG-BOOM and that's all she wrote ![]() Now this probably qualifies as my saddest SH3 career ever ![]() |

Here's my best career ever! Started a new Kaleun in GWX. I set the autopilot to run the Kiel Canal. I forgot that I'd hit some key towards the end which turned off autopilot and I ended up running aground just outside the exit of the canal instead of turning like I was supposed to!

:hmm: Hmmm did u try to wait for the hi tide to possibly get afloat again ? Same happened to me when the engeneer's slot was vacant ignoring any further waypoints and digged straight into Omaha beach.
