Aye, I refuse to play it anymore till I can figure out the skinning part. I know what the problem is, but I need to go by trial & error to get it right. Stupid thing. I mean, how hard can it be to make the soldier's UV map so the parts are what they look like! The upper body consists of two parts: the front+right side and the back+left side. Ok, now I made changed the skin on the back of the uniform, positioned it to the center of the back. Then went to the game to check it out, and it was nowhere near the center of the back. I just dont get it.

Wish my laptop could run this game. I'm very jealous right now.

The old or the new demo? The old demo was a slide show for me, and it helps to choose "use only one core" for some who have dual core cpu. (For me its no difference)

I downloaded the demo pretty much as soon as I saw this thread. So I think it might be the new demo.

I'm not sure how many processors this has got. I think I should find out the full spec though

New higher resolution reskin/recolor for BAR.

Barrel, stock, the main body & clip reskinned. Other parts colored to be more dark. The original skin was 128x64, this is 1024x512 (dont worry about the file size, the .dds compression the game uses packs them pretty nicely). Just drop the 3dobj folder to your TOW folder.

Yes, that's a paratrooper skin I was/am doing. Not really happy with it.

Nah, Company of Heroes is for kids.:p Its real time strategy, but the main differences is LOS (line of sight), realistic ballistic data (angle, speed, range and ammo type vs type of armour, etc, etc), larger maps with more scope and psychology.

In other words your tank can be fired upon, and the crew can flee without the tank taking serious damage, or they can be killed inside the tank by a penetrating round, etc, etc. Tanks are usually knocked out without drama, but on some rare occasions explode. Also, AT gun crews run for cover if fired upon, but return to the gun when all is clear. This game is awesome! (If you have the patience to learn how to play, some are scared away by the way this has to be played, and I get that)

For instance, forget storming a fortified position like in other more arcade rts. You WILL be blown away!

Also, all your troops gain experience throughout the campaigns, and you can manually distribute skills and medals.

I will upload an unedited video from an entire battle between Allied and German forces in the Bulge soon. (Stage6 lets you do this, since there is no time limit like f.i YouTube)

You might say Company of Heroes is medal of Honour: Airborne, and Theatre of War is Red Orchestra.

Dowly, I saw someone over at Battlefront complaining about the stretsching of textures, so you are not alone.

Strange that none of the devs chime in, mods are in their interest after all.

Rofl! Not funny! I somehow managed to wander abit too far with the guy and end up into a village full of germans. Now the poor fecka is lying behind a small strip of stone wall, with MG34 on other and X-Ray Goggles 3000 wearing Stug on other. I think this' a job for my fearless sniper, Ronald Freeman (Grandfather of G. Freeman) who takes the tank apart bolt by bolt with his crowbar.
