U-Boat 1.2 ships added!
Update of the ships added on the Mod!
Permissions! I have been trying for a week now to get the origin of certain ships that I've downloaded in order to get the respective Permissions from the original creators, since the ship files come without any sort of info or install or read me files it has been impossible until the date to get the contacts and Permissions from those ships... However I will try for some more time to track down the files origin if that shows unresolved at the release date of this mod I will add a special note explaining the steps taken and the files in question... Since this Mod is in great part a mod compilation I will try to get every single permission to the mods added and unless its impossible that will be my policy and attitude.. List of ships included until the date on U-Boat 1.2!
Mods Dev! This is basicly to improve the SHIII 1.4b players gameplay and also to be a Addon for GWX 1.04, so there is a lot done and still a lot to be done, what I can secure now is a better Mod then the 1.1 version and a much more complete one! Advertising a freelancer Video work!
hello everyone,
Posting this to ask on this community, if ther is someone intresst. in working on a Video file for the U-Boat 1.2 Mod, the idea is simple and can be acomplished by someone who haves skills using Fraps, and video editing tools, or any other way for capture a SHIII video with some basic imput from me of what exactely I want! the cadidate should post here quoting this post of mine, and from my part will me named on the Mods final Pdf reademe file as the creator of the intro movie ! thanks guys! ![]() |

To Keep you guys On the Target
Teaser Developement News Roster and Sea Folders are geting finished List of ships will be a great adition that U-Boat 1.2 will bring to the game, Some of the best ships made are allready included, sad I have no idea on how to add them into the campaigne files so the way they are they will pop up inside counvoys or you will find them in the midle of the ocean crossing your route, but anyway its a great adition as you will have lots of new targets! Graphics are hoing slowly , its hard work and I want them to be just awesomly great, I have great stuff allready done and some of them allready tested, Like barracks screen, Officer Icons, Options screen and realisme menu, and lots of others! Included Mods have progressed significantly, and mods like Racerboy's stuff are my primary target and Option as I think they improve a lot the visual Parte of the game, The idea is reached and U-Boat 1.2 mod is starting to get shape and form! The idea is to give you guys the best Mod pack and the best from me untill the date, so stay on the channel and be pacient as it will be worth it! Sounds great jcw, but if I got thigs right, we have:
- racerboys comprehensive mod... that is "must have", even in further development - your mod that brings new objects, visuals, interface...etc. - GWX team that is polishing brend new 1.04 supermod - some other silent individual artists... The only possible conclusion is: we are going to face a many nice improvements by the Christmas... but with a hell of mess, with dozens of files "overwriting" one another and total installation confusion among common players and less experienced users. Do you "gurus" have any communication betwen projects, ...any chances of some "all inclusive readme guide" ? |

Points and Arrows! - GWX 1.04 is a update and brings new content into the 1.03 version... - U-boat Mod is an Addon for GWX and For SHIII 1.4b that brings all the mods you have latest seen released ( Yes Racerboy's two) and its a Mod compilation toghether with new mods from me... - Both of this mod sbring a lot of content also as Optional mods, as far as for the U-boat Mod I have a huge Optional mods folder that goes attached with the original Mod so that you have more optional goodies... - The only Super Mod builded from scratch is GWX, mine is part a mod compilation of the finest around the Community and loads of new graphics and other Mods made by me... So having a mod or other or both its just a question of taste and preferences ! |

Hmm, ...Within the main download file: optional few "sub-installation" (with readme-explained options) could be a soulution...even more, some agreed standard among moders with "interchangeble" files

Hmm....in an ideal world you make some good points. However, every modder or sets of modders have different ideas and envisaged outcomes.
Often the means used to mod something are very different. A good example would be the differences between NYGM and GWX. Two sets of people with similar hopes and aspirations ie: the improvement of SH3, but with differing views on how to achieve that goal. I think it's good that there is a wide and diverse choice out there for people to choose from. After all, they do say 'variety is the spice of life' ![]() |
