Hi to all,
I just thought to ask if there has been any, (substantial) progress with the Atlantic Sharks Mod. Since the release of the SH4 1.3 patch there has really been some progress with SH4, its actually playable !! But for me the Atlantic is still the big draw, but I cant bring myself to go back to SH3 after the nice eye candy of SH4, even though the game play is preferable, the old tubs in SH3 give me the Sh_ _ts! Just my opinion, please dont kill me any one!! Just looking forward to playing in the Atlantic once more with some better more convincing looking targets and environmental modeling. Quote:

it´s not only the release of 1.4 patch.
there are a lot of work to do, export models, the campaign, menus, sounds, grid map in sh4,interface,... i´m sure that it could be done but it could take a lot of work and time. also sh4 need a lot of work , the enviroment is nice but in a lot of areas sh3 is more convincing that sh4, for example the storms.

![]() Just to be clear, is this more or less SH3, useing SH4 graphics? This is an Atlantic campaign, no? Just wondering, since some of the screenies showed Japanese ships, along side U-Boats. I know there were long range U-Boats that had operations in the Pacific Theater, but I don't recall Japanese Warships in the Atlantic. I could be wrong, but if someone could clarify. Once again, good luck guys! |

thanks a lot for the good wishes! we appreciate that. really...
but we have a lack of time to post some progress...but we are still on it! the core of AS will be a sh3 with (all) graphical and gameplay improvements of sh4. means: sh4 with an atlantic scenario as in actual sh3. stay tuned, guys. ![]()

as soon as I get the okay from my testers with much heavier sea's
and better physics for them and lightning effects that will blow your mind away! Hartmann comments like that keep people from doing work on the games and make the moders feel like their work isn't apreciated so they don't offer to work with or help others and just work on thier own games and say to hell with everyone else. But no matter what you think or feel about SHIV and what we are doing for it good luck with your own endevers and I hope you accomplish all that you are hoping for! The fact is the SH4 engine is more poweful than that in Sh3, so with some effort the results will be better.
