So far the screenshots look great. Great ship and submarine models. I only have one question. Isn't the Pacific theatre supposed to be alot brighter and blue as compared to the dreary, gray and dark Atlantic theatre from SH3? The water and sky backgrounds look almost like what we saw in SH3 in the Atlantic. I was thinking the Pacific would look alot brighter, sunny, and blue. Well at least when the weather is good.

I was thinking that too. Looks alot darker then it should. If you look though, most of these are at dusk/dawn so it would be darker. The water does look alot darker then it should though

Anyone know if there will be random encounters between fleets during missions,I mean non scripted events?

Default Battles in Screenshots

The battles in the shots do not necessarily mean that there will be such epic battles in the campaign. Those have probably only been set up for demonstration purposes, although I think we can assume there will be at least some historical battles in the SHIV campaign.

The outside world looks unreal, too cinematic, though nice graphics.

To bad...really wish SH4 would have this kind of surprises.

Won't keep me from buying it, though!
