I don't think that's it. I think in order to avoid the problems of 2016 they over compensated and made the whole system overly complicated, as a result nobody knows whats going on or what to do about it. Classic "Chinese fire drill".

Just think.... This time next year these clowns could be running the federal government.

Thats what happens if you think that doing tbings digitally is a purpose i itself. Why does it take an app to communicate a voting result?

I do my telephone numbers keeping and calnbder stuff via an old-fashioned paper-booklet until today. Strangely, whatever I look up and search for, I find it faster with that, than with any organiser or digital toy gadget. And for the most I still type often used telephone numbers manually until today, not using electronic telephone databases. Its faster. And has the added advanatge that the databse cannot be hgacked and stolen.

Doing things digitally is NO purpose in itself. Its not even "cool". Its just a tool, that either fits, or does not.

The whole digitalization of the voting circus is just an invitation for hacking, manipulation, and getting problems.

A few days back I could read and hear our media telling us, that Bernie Sanders was favorite to win in Iowa.

This made me wonder

What kind of USA can an American expect if he should win the next Presidential election ?

Most likely the same kind of America that Trump has left behind - this time just from the extreme left. Trump is Trumpism and Trumponomics from the right, Sanders is Trumpism and Trumponomics from the left. None of the two is better than the other. Both are a desaster and an impertinence. Sanders certainly is a radical socialist, if not worse. He applauded Hugo Chavez' socialist policy in Venzuela, and found complimenting words for various aspects of state-run services in and aspects of the Soviet Union. To me, both are so bad options that I refuse to choose between them. I unconditionally oppose both.

I see no votable candidate at all, not on the Dems' and not on the Reps' side. Every single one of them is a total and complete fail. But it was like that last time and the time before already.

Iowa: with this kind of chaos, the Dems have no chance to challenge Trump on anything. They have made complete monkeys of themselves. This does not mean that Trump can already feel safe in the next elections: he just has allowed landmines again, and so maybe he steps onto one. Then the election would be open again.
