Default GWX 2.1 Compatibility

Please note:
As it turns out, OLC GUI 1.2.0 will not be compatible with GWX 2.1. I plan to release OLC GUI 1.2.1 (which will be compatible) as soon as the 2.1 update becomes available to GWX players. Please do not attempt to run OLC GUI 1.2.0 with GWX 2.1.

Sorry for the confusion.
OLC

If there's one thing I'd like to see added that would be the click-click-click sound when rotating the persicope from U-jagd tools mod. It's sort of like a tactile feedback of handling the scope if you catch my drift.

They come and go and finally disappear entirely.

Finally, if I'm not out of the game quick enough (say, within the next 15 minutes) I get more and more errors with my startup-programs monitor telling me that all kinds of basic system functions are asking to start up with each boot which they are supposed to do anyway. When I exit SH3, most of it goes back to normal. I get no more errors and the fonts are back to the way they should be. I then have to reboot to resume normal computer operations.

This is a new, clean installation of SH3 1.4b with GWX2 and OLC GUI installed but no other mods. Absolutely nothing has changed with my system physically or system-wise since running SH3 with GWX 1.03 this past summer with no errors.

Help again!

Thanks

Martin
Your system is being taxed to it's limits and perhaps even beyond.

Clean it out - use an air can or something but get the dust etc outta there.

If you can, check our power supply - it may be overheating or sending sporadic signals and causing all sorts of issues. (You might be underpowered too for what you have in the system - a simple upgrade may be all it takes).

I have never seen any of the SH3, patches, or mods cause problems with the system files themselves - particularly not in the way you described. Therefore, it must be a hardware issue...

Good luck!

Sorry, no - partly because a lot of people don't like it. Previous GUI mods have added it and then had it removed by popular demand, so to speak.

I love this mod.
I just run into the large merchant at night and i managed to hit her with 2 torps outa 4 at the distance of 4200 m.

Mind You the sea was calm , but still by my standards prety good result. Considering when i started this career i had 2 sinkings in 4 patrols without the mod.

That's what I didn't want to hear but it's good information. The power supply is relatively new (early last year) and is in excess of what I need so I'll hope it's just a dust issue. Thanks

How do you have a draggable chrono?

Hi OLC

After much to move things around I have managed to meet on the failure that was preventing from showing the name of the target in the scope with your mod when we were asking the Armament official to identify it when we had Richi's translation installed.

The "failure" is in the type FPCond14.tga numbered like Font13 and present in the file menu_1024_768.ini

La "culpa" la tiene la fuente FPCond14.tga numerada como Font13 y presente en el archivo menu_1024_768.ini

I do not know for because there is this problem,

Graphical example of arrives exposed.

Type original in english.

Type in Richi's translation.

The only difference between both types is indicated in the latter screenshot. Now then, why it does not work his visualized one in the mod when it is installed is a mystery for me.

Regards.

Sorry, my english is poor

Note that if you use an already customized olc menu.ini, you will have to add the stopwatch manually. Search for "jonz" in the menu.ini and copy the lines needed, if you already changed your menu.ini it should be really straight forward. Don't forget the dials.cfg (last entry).
Thanks for quickly stopping our thread highjack

Default OLC GUI 1.2.1 for GWX 2.0 - released!

OLC GUI 1.2.1 for GWX 2.0 is looking good - I'm very happy with it in fact - so I'm releasing it now for GWX 2.0 rather than waiting for the indefinitely delayed GWX 2.1 update. A 2.1-compatible version will follow the release of the GWX 2.1 update. Before that I hope to release 1.2.1 for (stock) SH3 1.4b.

This update includes:
- Local Time tooltip.
- Red crosshair added to the zoomed-in deck gun view (same as on the zoomed-out view).
- GoBack key (Numpad 0) added.
- All U-boat cameras given appropriate GoBack destinations.
- Darkened gramophone shortcuts.
- Tooltips restored on all order shortcuts.
- Tooltip showing torpedo loading time restored.

It's uploading to my FF page now...

Yes please, I am with JC on it. I would like to remove the red cross as well. Thanks.

OLC, would you also mind to give me a quick "how to" for removing the white ship name in periscope view? I hope you don't mind. We can do it over PM. I would really appreciate it.
