Default Glitch

Hi, I'm a long time SH fan from the 1st sim right thru SH2, SH3 an now 4. I've never had the chance to post cause of time restraints. I've encounted most of the bugs, but not all. The game runs GREAT with 1.1 patch @ 1280x1024 w/4xaa 16xanisotopic filtering BUT one bug seems to be a carry over from SH3. In free camera mode if you move fast forward sometime it doesn't stop or rotate the camera it doesn't stop UNLESS you repeat your moves untill it stops.

Glitch an oddity
I have a few pics, but can't figure out how to post them, where the crew of a Jap cargo ship is still manning the deck gun while a fire rages around them, I mean IN THE FIRE an another pic of a jap sailor walking 5 to 6 feet above the deck on a sinking ship in mid air.

OH! AND like to THANK all the modders for the contributions!!!!!

Is there any solution to the crew dying for no reason while on patrol with 1.1, because I downloaded it, but my guys kept dying and it kept telling me to surface so I just reinstalled the original game without 1.1 should I reinstall 1.1?

Default Missing Realism Options?

Possible Manual Error:

Someone try and help me out with understanding this. In the game manual, there is a section that lists all of the game play settings for realism. One of the options mentioned is called "No Weapon Officer Assistance", and the manual describes it as

"When selected, the Weapon Officer will not identify targets or calculate firing solutions for you. You must determine range, speed, and AOB by yourself."

I know that this sounds like the option for manual targeting selection, but it is listed as a completely different option. Is there somewhere where this option is available, or does it only exist in the manual, and not in the game?

The Sea of Oktosk(or however its splled ) is empty of shipping. It real life it was full of ships. Jap and Soviet. And make a PZ there, please?

Don't know if this was mentioned before but this weekend I was doing a zoom in with camera. After I switched back to the map, the map kept scrolling up and wouldnt stop. I left the career and started another to see what would happen. The map was still scrolling even in a new career. Restarting the game fixed it of course.

Hi heres a intresting one with screeny supplied after installling some mods from sub sim my crews eyes well have vanished. Look at the piccy weird as hell and yes i bought my game its not a pirate before any one says anything.
Only did it since i put a few mods in so not sure wether its a glitch between one of the mods and 1.1 patch or just another bug you make your own mind up. Oh and this is effecting all the crew kinda creepy

I have this sound issue. After a while a sort of sound-studders starting, once some soundfunctions stopped to work, once the torpedos did´nt load, and it looks like some functions starting to get wierd. Mostley only the sound issue is there. I have noticed it occurs when using high TC. If I then save the game and reload game the sound issue is gone, and then come back after a while.

Im running on a 8800 GTX, P4 3.4 GHz, 2Gb Ram, XP pro SP2, Creative Audigy 2Z, all with the latest drivers and updates.
Could it be the sound card? Never have had any problems like this before with any other game.

-Damaged radio antenna and radio receiver both reported by crew as "radar" damaged/repaired (this is in an S-18 class equipped with no radar of any form).

-An elaboration on a bug posted above, and which I believe is already largely reported, but I'd like to give my take on a confluence of problems that come together as a gamebreaker. This experience was in an S-18 class during campaign play:

After sustaining depth charge damage to most of my external topside components (radio antenna, both periscopes, deck gun, attack station) and the pump and radio reciever, I was treated to a whole series of bugs.
1. When the deck gun and bridge/superstructure items took damage, all the watch crew and the deck gun crew were injured. (Perhaps they are supposed to be in the conning tower when submerged, but this is odd as no damage was reported to any internal component or compartment and, more importantly, how can this many people fit in a compartment that the devs didn't even deem it necessary for me to access? Did the S-18 even have a pressure compartment in the conning tower?)
2. Open surfacing, damaged compenents are continuously re-damaged after being repaired and removed from the list.
3. While on surface, crew in watch station and deck station continue to lose health, ultimately dying.
4. Although surface "attack station" reported damaged, there is no sign of any loss of function.
5. With both my periscopes destroyed and all crew removed from the bridge, I continue to receive visual contacts from the crew.

If you man the 5" 25 calibre gun the view is skewed 90 degrees and you can only traverse the gun through the deck of the boat.

Call me crazy, but I reckon deck guns should be able to fire AWAY from the boat and I reckon we should be able to sit in an upright position when using it.

How the heck did this one slip through? I guess no one at Ubisoft ever test-fired the gun.

Totally agree this will put off a few casual gamers...Well quite a few because after all we DO want to see the end of the war out and bask in its glory...Not being able to see the war out and get to drive most of the subs available just stinks....Well for those like me that WANT to start out on Day ONE with S18 and go all the bloody way!!!

This should be a priority change...As it nullifies the campaign
