You have a silent shotgun and go on a murder rampage?
Also It's not a crucifix if Jesus isn't attached to it. I couldn't find any Jesus blocks in MC. ![]()

Right, in light of mobs returning to SMP I've commissioned Fort Newby. The spawn point is now a castle-esque structure inside a strong, dare I say, impenetrable wall (by mobs anyway). It contains a storage room (for starting supplies), an observation tower (for orientation), and a secure tunnel to the nearest railway station (Bromley-By-Bow) which is under construction (the tunnel, not the station).
It boasts obsidian reinforced walls and a lava moat, as well as a iron door with switch (AFAIK Mobs can't activate switches) and a bridge across the lava moat which has to be climbed by ladder (AFAIK Mobs can't climb ladders...although I did hear a rumour that the Halloween patch has added that). It will, hopefully, allow any new players to spawn in an area at night which won't be overrun by Mobs...I may have to put a ceiling on the yard between the fort and the walls in case skeleton archers snipe from the nearby cliff top. I've done most of it now, and will hopefully be able to finish it or progress close to finishing it tomorrow. |

I said I like it.
![]() Right, got the Minecraft Overviewer to work (the google maps thingy), so here's a quick tutorial for those interested. 1. Download the app from here: https://github.com/brownan/Minecraft-Overviewer (flip a finger to the python/pil/numpy requirements) 2. Extract the zip anywhere you like (preferably somewhere that is easily accessable with the command line) 3. Open command line 4. Browse to the minecraft overviewer folder 5. Type in: gmap [path to your world] [path to output folder] For example: Code:
gmap E:\users\xxxx\appdata\roaming\.minecraft\saves\world2 D:\maptest Also, type gmap help for a list of all the commands. |

Hopefully I'll be able to join this server once I actually buy MC.
Just to be clear, this server is now close to Single Player version (baddies, having to mine your own materials?). Also, what is the 'etiquette' for finding, setting up and building up your own territory/house?

I'd say just communicate. If you find a spot close to someone else, ask if it's alright.
The site now hosts a map, kinda, so you can check locations.

After an hours worth of trial and error, the front bumper(bulbus) of Valkyrie is complete.

Alrighty, map is properly rendered. Probably takes a bit to load, but i must admit it is pretty awesome.
![]() I'll just spam it a little: http://77.166.66.44/Map/index.html * ah right; first render was on this pc, second was done on server. Server had different textures, so you see a mix at some points. Game on server is now updated, so when it renders chunks with changes again, they should be done with normal textures.

As I'll hopefully be getting the game tomorrow, I was wondering if I could post a 'bid'(?) for the plot of land in the south due west of the sand pyramids (the generally forested/green area?
If I can figure out how to draw on the map and post a screeny I will
