Have you not had enough sleep. :hmm: As I've read in some of your other posts and as some of the others in this thread have said that you do not read the complete post. look again at my post and look very carefully at the time in the message and the time below lower right corner. There is exactly one minute difference between the "shallow waters" report and the "3,281' report". The bottom time is the same exact time as the last report. ONE whole minute went by and you have the wits to say that their may have been a recent history before my save.

Please do all of us a big favor and have a large cup of coffee and wake up.

You might have been just passing the continental shelf (make that cliff!)

I had thought about that before I typed the post and forgot to mention where I was at as it was approximately 150 degrees east, 32 degrees north, close to 1,000 nm from "Honshu" where I was heading. In that entire area ( according to the map ) there is over 3,281 ft depth for many, many nm miles ( Check your map, both ingame and paper one that came with Sim ) and if you look close at the speed I was still drifting ( good ole bug shut my engines off you know ) at eight kts and I don't think at those eight kts in one minute that I had crosed a shelf. I mean what are the odds, probably a million to one. On the other hand maybe I should not say that for maybe thats another bug, although I doubt it.

Not so much a bug, but a feature I'd like to see come back in an official update: the "Nearest visual contact" command you could give to the Watch Officer, who then gives you the range and bearing of the nearest surface contact.

Another one I've noticed recently: the crew will call out "torpedo impact!" for ALL torpedo detonations, even when they prematurely detonate or explode in shallow waters.

The ports are not shown in the Mission Editor.

Number 1:

I get the "Ready to Insert Troops" message randomly...

Its only happened 3 times ever...

Once during a Submarine Training School mission and a couple of times playing missions. Can't remember it ever occuring incorrectly in the campaign though...

If you click postpone the games crashes.
Last time I clicked launch and the game continued as normal. Weird.

Number 2:

Porpoise class sits too far out the water when surfaced. I checked the sim file and her surfaced depth is set at 0!! Needs to be between 5 and 6.

I realize after a certain number of patrols some skippers were retired or reassigned but Many went past 8 patrols and I thought my performance was more than notable even if the game said it wasnt. Seems strange to me.
I have just had the exact same problem, 7th patrol I returned to Pearl harbour and was offered a ship upgrade which I accepted, I was then transferred to Brisbane without asking to be transferred. Went out on the 8th Patrol, completed all objectives and returned to Brisbane but could not end the patrol, went to fremantle and the patrol ended but i was then moth balled along with the sub, infuriating to say the least.

Has anyone managed to do more than 8-10 patrols, because I have tried and can never get past about 6,7,8

i too have been forcibly retired despite a good career (one bad run due to the sonar-depth bug, hey there's no ship in this sea!)

last night i had a crewman turn 2d, start twitching in a scarecrow position then the game hanged requiring a hard-reset.

Can anyone confirm this ? Seems like an easy fix for the dev-team.
