Yep. I think we can all agree that the graphics are outstanding this time. To me they have always suffered in the past but then again the PCs keep getting bigger and faster not to mention our graphics cards capabilities.
At this rate I'll soon be out of a job as a CGI visual effects person. Or I'll just use the game engines. For most shows like the History Channel they are nearly good enough as it is. Steve |

2010 SubsimMachFest
What is SubsimMachFest? It is our very own short film festival! Welcome to the second Annual Subsim Machinima Short Video Festival. Contenders for the awards will be posted on http://au.youtube.com/user/SubsimMachFest I'm looking for the best 7 minute machinima videos containing a submarine that you can create.
Being Subsim we need a theme for our vid fest and of course it is submarines. It doesn't matter if you don't use a sub sim to make your vid but in the 7 minutes you have to include at least one submarine whether it is simulated or otherwise. So all you budding machinima makers, crank up your skills for a chance to win one of the following awards:
The rules for entries are simple:

That's great. Now if I can only figure out why Fraps stopped working with SH5 and 4. Anyone have any insight? I've tried uninstall and reinstalling.
It was working before. Fraps works with all other games. But not with Ubisoft out of nowhere. Steve |

As I figured ever time I'd try to run anything 64 bit with Fraps running it would cause it ti crash. So I upgraded to the latest version that fixes the 64 bit issues and it works fine now. Hope this helps someone else because this sort of thing can be a real pain in the stern!

Here's another test using the latest version of fraps for 64 bit.
Much better I think. Steve |

we are all proud on our achievements as submarine commander.
don't we all remember our first kill(those where exiting moments!)? well, some of us even have screenshots of those moments on their wall, above their computer monitor, just to have a look at it once in a while and then whipe away a tear..."man,my first kill.i remember it as if it was yesterday..." i can tell you my first SHV kill pictures will get no further than the toiletroom-wall! my fist kill was......eh...a friendly submarine. but nevertheless, here are the shots! |
