Young Buna Career Advancement (Part 2)
Not sure if anyone can remember this thread about young Buna studying for his Chief Officer qualification:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...highlight=buna He received official word today informing him he had passed but what I wasn't aware of neither until today is the fact that the above qualification covers not only Chief Officer but also the Master/Captain position...he has no further written exams to undertake for further career progression but must have a minimum of twelve months sea time in post Chief Officer qualification before he can sit his oral examination to become a Master/Captain. His mom and I are obviously over the moon....well done James

Young Buna passed his orals yesterday bringing the final course figure to 5 passes out of 16 candidates on the course.
He is now qualified to serve as Chief Officer on any vessel and Master on up to 6000 tons. Best xmas present your mom and I could have wished for son and I'm sure your grandad will be looking down on you with a mega sense of love and pride
