Well, that's true too.

We'll see.

I'm buying it, I can check out the file system as will most of the other buyers.

I said last week it would be "SH5, Bugs of the Atlantic", but nobody seemed to believe that.

What id be afraid of, is if SH5 behaves the same as Sh4 when your boat reachs 600 feet in depth.

I didn't play it that often due to the bugs, are you referring to the boats buoyancy? What is annoying is that it is supposed to be "all new code", I think not! their favorite programming tool was copy & paste!!

Until the OSP is removed or I get proper positive feedback from the game, I'm not going to buy this. You can call me one of those guys who "Was going to buy the game but not anymore." Silent Hunter 5 is a singleplayer game. And a singleplayer game is usually something someone plays when he doesn't have a connection available. I have games like SH3 to thank for whenever the ISP decided to 'maintain' my internet connection (which usually meant hours without a connection)

Well, I hope their new system gives them the results they wanted.

I might buy it, since people are telling me that it's not as awful as I feared (that stock GUI is HORRIBLE, though – I hated it in SH4 and it looks no better in SH5).

There's a chance it might not even run on my machine, since I'm using a new Macbook Pro (bought last week), but its specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo 7550 @ 2.26 Ghz
2 Gigs Ram
Win 7 Professional 32-bit
Nividia GeForce 9400M

That last one is probably going to be a big issue. If someone else who plays with these specs gets it to run for them, I might buy it, but I might not bother playing it until modders have cleaned it up a bit.
