![]() Like antikristuseke mentioned, it seems to slow down over time, that's why I thought memory leak. ![]() You need to be creative with the rogue; use that Deathroot to make poisons and place traps. Enemy mages are a pain, but if you can lure them in a "large claw" trap (big beartrap), it's over right away. Killed more of them with traps than swords. ![]()

Note to self: Do not read Dragon Age forums at 7 bloody am, your laughter will wake up the neighbors and make your cat yawn, then demand for food. Some people

Well, started off as an Dalish elf only to find it did not suit my playing stlye (too weak for my liking). So I've gone for a Dwarf Noble - aka combat monster (he got a nice double headed axe
![]() After a 2 hour marathon yesterday, have got near to where I was with my Elf - Ostogar (where you join the Grey Wardens. Still no crashes yet - this is the most stable game I have played in a long time. Good job Bioware ![]()

Some things can't be unseen! Oh ,the horror!
![]() ![]() I figured Zevran was gay, but I didn't need to see it confirmed. ![]() BTW, you can make some rather questionable choices in the brothel in Denerim as well. The "surprise me" option might be interesting... Absolutely brilliant game. ![]() Quote:

OMG Ive hit one of those dreaded difficulty spikes.
Its a random encounter in a city where you approach the bad guys and a gate slams shut cutting you off from the rest of the party. I tried it twice last night and realilzed NFW! I understand you can carefully approach the area and get your party inside the gate before it slams shut. But oh my gawd !

While the game itself is great, it is absurd that I must be logged in each and every time I intend to play the game with extra pre-order content, in other words, each time I want to load a saved-game with extra content. This is the first offline-online chimera game I've ever heard of. You must login, but what for? It's a singleplayer offline game isn't it?
Put under this light, the default, non-deluxe, non-pre-ordered simple version is a superior version of the game, for you can just fire it up and play, anytime, anywhere. And I, who payed more for these trinckets, on the contrary, am punished with an obligation to play only with an internet connection, as if this were an online game. There must be another way to do this special edition thing, less moronic, less cheapsteak, less punishing to the customer who goes the extra buck. Now I can only imagine what will happen if years from now I decide to play my Dragon Age deluxe edition, as I did again with Knights of the Old Republic a few weeks ago. Will my special content be available? Will the old game still be supported? Will Bioware's subscriber system still exist? I want to own the game, install and play it when I want as I see fit, not have to become a subscriber to an offline-online game, not become the hostage of an internet connection and a company's clubhouse. What happened to owning the damn game?! Many thumbs down to Bioware for implementing such a system. Yes, the game is great, but this system is retarded, it is like a good-looking whore with AIDS. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Only just realized this myself, and I have to agree. It's not so much having to log in, but the possible future implications that bother me (though at the same time I trust Bioware to avoid such issues). At the very least it should be mentioned that an internet connection is required to play DLC.
Btw, performance is a lot better. At first it wasn't too impressive with high-detail and 4xAA, but now it's on very-high with 4xAA and runs wonderfull. Either a performance issue in that "tutorial" part, or they adressed it in that first patch, either way I'm happy. ![]()

Consensus is worth it? I'm kicking around the idea of getting MW2 and DAO while I'm at it.

I say must buy, if you like Bioware RPGs.
![]() Keep in mind the "issue" of having to be logged-in to play your DLC, if any. Warden's Keep is pretty much a must (7$), for storage chest. Otherwise you can only carry what's equipped + what fits in inventory, which fills up quickly, especially on later dungeon-raids.
