If it's a lot of work, don't worry.
Per OLC's request, I'm about to mirror the files from my own server. That should help. Should definately get more than 16kbps. Stand by.

Here are the two GUI files, I'm still uploading the video, but these should download to you anywhere from 200 to 400 kbs.

EDIT: NEW VERSIONS ON NEXT PAGE.

Enjoy.

12 more minutes and the video will be ready.

My upload speed is considerably slower than the download. Plus the video is 275 Megs.

Woohoo.

Now the only thing between me and 700kbps is my own connection.

Thanks.

Thanks MONOLITH!

I downloaded the video around 2am this morning (alcohol keeps me awake!)....

Got speed around around 745kbps - only took a few minutes! - much better then filefront's several hours.......

Looking forward to viewing it tonight when I get away from the office - lots to learn (or re-learn, depending on your view).

Cheers!

EDIT - Now reached 179 posts - what the hell is that signature pic all about...!

Was passing through and saw this. Just gotta say this is a damn nice mod.

I'm gonna crank SH3 back up just for this.

Default Game Stability

I don't know about you guys, but I've had some CTDs with this latest version. I've found the problem and will release v1.1.1 asap with a fix.

For those interested... it seems the game becomes increasingly unstable when you add too much TGA data to the menu file. With the addition of some new, large TGA's in this latest version (the attack disc TGA's) it seems I've pushed the game over the edge.

I've found a way to consistently force a CTD with v1.1.0, and the fix in v1.1.1 (a different TexFmt flag on the very large compass.tga image) gets rid of that CTD.

Has anyone installed v1.1.0 and got a CTD, and then just uninstalled it without contacting me? If so please send me a PM! I would like to get this fix tested on other machines if possible.

Thanks a lot!
OLC

Default V1.1.1 is now available!

I decided to go ahead and post v1.1.1 which is stable for me. If anyone has stability issues with it... you know where to find me

New in this version:
  • Added the Flaggen chart to the Observation scope.
  • In the stock version of the mod, the recognition manual functioned but looked ugly - this has been fixed.
  • In the stock version of the mod, players using German text could see the names of unidentified ships in the periscope - this has been fixed.
  • A potentially CTD-causing problem found in v1.1.0 has been fixed.
  • Added some polish in miscellaneous places
