I only don`t like the graphics in shiv.
The ships do like drawings that floats on the water.
The sea looks more realistic in sh3 than in sh4.
:rotfl:
Better look at a drawing than at a schedule

BTW: What else don't you like ? The highly detailed 3D models ? The awesome particle effects ? The beautiful enviromental lightings ?

With sh3 i sometimes get the feeling that i am really at sea.
The waves, sound etc.

At night when you look at the stars and around you you feel really lonely.

With shiv i dont get that feeling.

Ok. That maybe, I don't know. But some people said that at least since GWX came up the immersion is a lot better in SH3 than in 4.

Graphics don't make a whole game, that's right

Xboxer here is the link to download gwx

http://isaf.us/gwx/

Download the 5 bin files + gwx.exe

After you have installed this download also
gwx103.exe. That`s a patch on gwx.

You will never look back at the stock sh3.

I really hate him for letting thousands of men rot in stallingrad for his cause.

just be glad that it happend this way. as I wouldnt have a good night rest with hitler's picture hanging above my bed...
A popular notion but not really true. Germany had upped it's production of Type VII and Type IX U-boats considerably by mid-war. The problem was those types were obsolete and vulnerable to Allied countermeasures by the middle of the war. Hitler would NOT have been able to leave the Soviet Union alone for a number of reasons. He badly needed oil to run his war. The SU had big oil reserves. And it was just a matter of time before the SU declared war on Germany. So Hitler opted for the surprise attack benefit. It had worked in western Europe and it actually worked quite well in the SU. Now if you want to blame overextended supply lines and a worse-than-normal Soviet winter, I agree with you. Hitler a "complete maniac" with no intelligence about strategic decisions...I don't think so. No man can conquer as much as what he did and fit that description.
Did he have twisted ideas about race/religion...most definitely. But I wouldn't lay all the blame at his feet. The Allies from WW1 deserve a good deal of the blame for causing WW2. If they had done like the Allies of WW2 had done and helped Germany rebuild instead of trying to punish it by driving it into bankruptcy with those idiotic "war reparations", the war in Europe might never have happened.

And I'm still holding off on buying SH4 until the price drops

The problem with the Soviet front is that Hitler was obsessed with Stalingrad. If he had just encircled Stalingrad and left it to starve like Leningrad he would have been ok. Once Moscow had been taken the Soviets would have been more or less knocked out of the war. IIRC Army group centre was only about 30miles from the gates of Moscow? At the start of the war Hitler was a very clever man, but by the time Stalingrad came around he was a complete loony and hooked on god knows how many drugs. This ultimately led him to making disasterous decisions towards the end of the war. Its like if the generals had sent down the panzer division waiting north of the normany beach heads the invasion would have failed and the allies pushed back into the sea, but the generals didn't order the panzers to move because they were afraid Hitler might order them shot or something, especially after Rommel and other top ranking generals were pushed aside or accused of treason etc.

If I remember correctly this means: 'If I remember correctly'

I don't like referring always to Hitler when talking about this war.
He had many people around him who made important decisions and he just gave the general orders, following their advices.

In fact, there are known a few occasions when Hitler made decisions all by himself which ended up in a disaster. And don't remember yet, it's a while ago since I read that. They were minor things, I don't mean
the invasion of russia (for example).
