Sh3commander is a great program which can run alongsie any mod and be tailored in any way you like

Reduce crew management to 0
Addin custom\random start screens etc
Reduce\lengthen days in port
Reduce gun reload rates and much much more

If you decide to get SH3commander dont forget the additional GWX specific files ( from below my sig )
Will give you all the new shipnames on your SH3commander patrol reports and much more again

Sounds very interesting! I will have to get this too but I think that I am going to spend a little more time at sea first getting to know my new ship before I delve off into another mod at this time. Thanks for the info!
