Thx much for the 1.2 ver., it's great. Installed the JSGME and played for several hours; no CTD yet.

Cheers

Default Silent Service 1.2

Holy Cow. This is so cool. Captain Cox, you should be a dev. The original poem was pretty neat, but this completely sets the mood.
I love all these mods. You can almost design your own game.

Just tried this out - most of it looks very cool. For some reason, however, my logo.wmv file got corrupted somewhere during this install and locked up my machine - I had to search for and find a backup copy of the original logo.wmv and replace it before it would work again. Also, even after doing that I can't play the intro movie in game, even though it will play in Windows Media Player outside the game just fine. I had a similar problem with the game's original movie, though not with the movie from Silent Service 1.1 for some reason. Go figure

Only real nit pick I would have about this version is that the white text is too hard to read against some of the pictures on some of the loading/menu screens, at least on my machine. But overall, another great effort - keep up the good work

You have been reduced now to only a "Teeny Weeny Tiny" Pink Gin....LOL. Great mod. by its JPG's must have taken hours so thank you in anticipation......Dusty

OK, think there is obviously some compatibly issues. I save that intro in HD...maybe that has something to do with it. Will look at it when home. Thanks for the heads up guys. As to the withe text in the load screens...well I had to sort a compromise in order to make the layout look different and fresh on each one of them , and in some the artistic license maybe took over the practical in this case.

Recompressing the intro with the standard ATI AVIVO converter enabled me to watch the intro with my media player at least; it also appears to have resized it to something smaller, nothing i have any control over though. Unfortunately the game still crashes upon trying to play the intro. No biggie though as i've seen it and can disable it

i'd try resizing the intro to 1024x512 which was the resolution of the original one... maybe that's the problem. I don't have a program installed that does this or i would test it out myself.

Other than that great work on the mod

hehe - you could always take the easy route and simply resize the wmv
