Even though I can only spend so much time playng GWX (used to be TGW) I run at 1x a lot of times when I have to lay down because of symptoms. The computer room is right next to my resting room, so I can hear what is going on and can usually reach my computer in time to react to the situation. It's not the quick (well not most of the time) that is against my health, but rather the excitment of the game. My ole heart pumps, and the oxygen doesn't get there fast enough, then I'm into deep trouble. That's why I have to be careful when I watch hockey, especially if it is my favourite team.

I too just sat with the bridge on the screen and enjoy the scenery. So 1x does not bother me 1 bit.

I'd love to be able to play at 1x. The problem is that I get maybe 2-3 hours of game time per week. So a three week patrol would take me over three years to complete.

Not knocking the x1 player...but two questions spring to mind:
1) How do you find the time ? :hmm:
2)How long must it take to cimplete a career if you survive to the end of the war ? :hmm:

http://home.comcast.net/~codmander It pays to be a landlord/self employed charter/commercail fisherman/ even if theres no charters my hand is out at the end of the month but probly will do somthing in the spring :hmm: on the cape?? Im your boy for some offshore action

My first 1x patrol took 7 days game time not sure how many days my time shut it down at bedtime for 8 hours or so per day so do the math

IT'S probly close to 1 carreer using tc = 1 patrol at 1x

I was thinking about the having to get up and leaving the computer...perhaps a wireless keyboard is in order. Say your in the crapper and hear aircraft you can hit the C key whilst you taking a dump!!!

Anyway, GWX has in a way forced me to play 1X in some situations. Currently I'm shadowing a convoy and I do not want to TC into night time for a night time attack. I'm afraid I might lose the merchants. Therefore I'm playing 1x for the darkness to fall and make a surface attack!
