Defense industry of Russian Federation cannot produce modern missiles at rate at which they are consumed - British intelligence

The Russian defense industry is probably incapable of producing modern ammunition at the rate at which it is being consumed.

The report reports that on October 10, Russia fired more than 80 cruise missiles over Ukraine.

Ukraine's Defense Ministry said more than half were shot down, but dozens hit Kyiv and other populated areas, killing civilians and damaging civilian infrastructure.

Prolonged power outages at Zaporizhzhia NPP may lead to second Fukushima, - Head of Energoatom, Kotin

According to the head of "Energoatom" Petr Kotin, there is a high danger of a nuclear accident at the Zaporizhzhya NPP, and the situation is only getting worse every week. He believes that prolonged power outages at the station could lead to a second Fukushima.

He stated this in an interview with the German TV channel ZDF, Censor.NET informs with reference to DW.

"The occupiers, among other things, damaged the administrative building, the training center, and one of the NPP units, they are storing equipment and trucks, which creates a high risk of fire. No one knows what is stored in these trucks," Kotin said.

According to him, employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP are under great pressure. "Now they are trying to force the staff to sign labor contracts with Russia. The staff have a choice - either sign these contracts or be beaten and tortured," he said, adding that about a hundred people were detained and no one knows what happened to them. "People are forbidden to leave the boundaries of the NPP," explained Kotin.

In his opinion, the highest threat of a nuclear accident remains at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. He noted that such an accident almost happened three times already. Kotin explained this by the fact that the ZNPP depends on the power supply. During the shutdown of the cooling system, the melting of the reactor fuel rods begins. Kotin compared it to the nuclear disaster at the Japanese nuclear power plant "Fukushima", where the power supply system was destroyed by a tsunami, and within three hours the melting of the rods began.

As a reminder, all six reactors of the Zaporizhzhia NPP are currently shut down. In recent days, factory generators have already been started twice due to the termination of the external and reserve power supply of the station. The United States of America will respond equally to Russia’s use of any form of nuclear weapons in a war with Ukraine.

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN on October 17, reports Censor.NЕТ.

A CNN correspondent asked whether the U.S. would treat Russia's "tactical" use of nuclear weapons - hitting a small target or a bombing in the Black Sea, for example - differently from a large-scale attack.

Russia resorts to ethnic cleansing in Ukraine - ISW

Russia’s actions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, reported by Russian officials, fall under the definition of ethnic cleansing.

This was stated in daily summary by Washington Institute for the Study of War (ISW), reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to LigaBusinessInform.

Experts note that "Russia continues to carry out mass forced deportations of Ukrainians, which appear to be part of a campaign of deliberate ethnic cleansing in addition to clear violations of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on October 14 that "several thousand" children from the Kherson region "are already in other regions of Russia, resting in rest homes and children's camps.

ISW notes that earlier the Russian authorities openly admitted that they intend to give children from the occupied regions of Ukraine for adoption to Russian families. Experts point out that this could be qualified as a violation of the Convention on the Prevention of the Crime of Genocide.

The summary also states that the Russian authorities may pursue a policy of ethnic cleansing by deporting Ukrainians and settling Russian citizens in occupied cities.

Beside sending weapons to Ukraine and impose weak sanction and embargo against Russia, what is the chance that our leaders will act in case Putin goes berserk and use tactical nukes in Ukraine ?

So far it has only been verbal threat from both side. So far there's no indication Russia is preparing their tactical nukes.

Why can't Putin be so much of a man and admit he has lost the war in Ukraine and withdraw his troop.
