Not sure I understand all of what you're asking for but here goes:

Sol stands for solution.

There's nothing stopping you from adding the F6-style gyro dials to the F3 screen.

As for a bearing in the F3 screen, all you can do is add the firing solution bearing dial(s?). The problems here are

1: the dial is only updated when auto-update is on
2: from memory, the 10ths dial isn't what I think you think it is but I could be mistaken

I hope you don't mind if I make "little" request...
would it be possible to include the dragable chronometer, it's a very useful tool that i would like to have with your mod.
That aside, all I have to say is that you did (are doind) a great job with this!
Thank you OLC.

1.2.0 is planned to be GWX 2.1 compatible.

The draggable chronometer... well, I suppose that players who (like me) don't want it can just drag it off the screen and forget about it. :hmm:

Yeah, maybe I'll add it.

My feedback is...

I like it all except that it is too dark. The dark makes these old eyes strain...expecting it to be sharper and clearer.

HOWEVER, having said all that...I still like the mod a lot. In fact, even if you did not change a darned thing...I still would use it (at least until I get the guts to make my own modifications and then it would be a personalized version of your mod).

Sol-ution. Stupid me! I think I got 'moonstruck' and got fixed on astro-lingo.

I made a typo. I meant tenths of degrees. I'd like to measure scope bearings in sub-degree resolution. I think I saw that 1-10 Gyro dials responded to sub-degree scope movement in the F6 view with similar change. And if it only updates when TDC is in auto, sounds perfect. I only want to read it as I take bearings, not set it. No doubt the helmsman course instability is going to irritate me but that's something I'll have to live with. Somehow! <sigh>

BTW, I just looked at Dial13. There's the line "Logarithmic=30" in it. Ubisoft surprises me with that. Looks like that dial is defined as a logarithmic curve with a parameter. I presumed the TDC Range dial graphics was fitted to hardcoding. The question is now, can this be used somehow? (thinks Range/AOB finder)

You can right-click on the sonarman icon (bottom right) to go straight there. Works with all the officers except the watch man . Right clicking on him takes you to the bridge, just like the bridge shortcut. Seems to me that for consistency (there's that word again) right-clicking on the WO should make me become the WO, like it does with all the other officers. But hey, it's hardly a game breaker.
Urm, yes. I knew that. I even used to use it, maybe a year ago, but then I seem to have forgotten about the existence of this feature. Sorry, old age must be setting in early :hmm: So what's this thread about, anyway?

Looking fantastic OLC!

I'd like to draw your attention to the new U-jagd chrono. The background obviously doesn't interest you, but I redrew the speed scales to be more accurate, mathematically speaking.

Also the attack disk has a new arm which may or may not interest you, but as it now looks like the real thing, you may prefer it.

You know with the whole red filter/depth scale debate. I have one small idea which you may discard as you please. You could simply include a depth scale for the red-filter settings to the present depth scale, and label it night/Nacht.

Everything looks great, yes even the moon Looking forward to the release.

Maybe you should mention (in the troubleshooting part) that the TDC-out-of-sync-problem can be solved quickly and easily in the game without setkeys or editing of config files. There were actually 3 buttons for toggling manual/auto in stock and GWX, and your mod only replaced one of them. The other two are still there and can be used to fix that problem if it ever occurs, they are in conning tower and weapon officer station (right click him).

OLC, love this mod and it will be a permanent part of my installation.

As far as the moon goes,it reminds me of some kind of tool I should be grabbing . Now if it was smaller AND displayed the correct phases of the moon then you would really be on to something. (nothing wrong with dreaming!)

I hope some type of red mask will at some point be available for this mod...at least on the nav map.(Don't tell me to make it... I'm lucky if I can install a mod never mind make one )

Following this thread with great interest.

I had the same thought, when this mod was WIP

It led to an interesting idea: have both the inner and outer rings of the AOB finder automatically rotate and align!

At that time I was still using the old stadimeter+notepad to find the range, and the "Range/AOB Finder" was just an "AOB Finder"

So I tied one ring to the a range dial, so that when the user enters the range (by whatever method) into the TDC, the AOB Finder turns so that the range "at the top". My idea was to then attach pre-rotated outer-disc images to every single page of the recognition manual, so that as you flick through the pages the outer ring automatically rotates so that the ship length is also "at the top" (and therefore alighned with the range) and presto: the AOB Finder is ready to do its job with no effort at all.

And the one thing that stopped this plan from working?

You can't attach transparent images to the recognition manual.

So much for that plan.

Great! Thanks for the heads up! Yeah I'll grab that new chrono and include it too

Yes, someone else recently pointed this out in another thread (was it you?) and until then it hadn't even occurred to me.

But you're absolutely right and I'll update post #1 in a minute.

Once in a while, the dials in my tdc will not move an inch. They seem part of the background, not manageable with the mouse. I can only correct this by exiting the game and starting over. Just saving and reloading doesn't cut it.

Anyway, thought you should know. I run GWX2 + OLC115 + OLC wavetextures + skin.

If you are interested in the improved attack disk, you also have to use the new bearing indicator because the pictures of the boat on it have been moved to make it function with the Vorhalt disk correctly.
