Vickers MK I machine gun the only one in WWI that had that long range elevation to fire out 4,500 yds in the indirect fire mode. Though that is a very optimistic range at that point little more than tossing a rock really. They made a special round to allow that kind of range as I recall. came out in 1916 or so.

@Armistead you guessing is just strange four wheel carriage gun? You know it is a machine gun. Hotchkiss,Maximum, Browning are all gun designers or gun makers and there is no Vickers MK. Mk or MK stands for Mark in British military nomenclature there is no such thing as simply Mark nothing.
