Well, here I am - absolutely brand new.
A German Silent Hunter Player, I started with SH3 a year ago or so and waited for SH5 to get cheap enough

I have been lurking here for quite a while, as my knowledge of SH3's Bernard should demonstrate.

Let's see how this is going to turn out!

New here, but not really

Hi Folks,

grew up with the c 64.
I play silent hunter since
Silent hunter 1. (Loved the damage control, water going up)
Silent hunter 2. (great with Erich Topp and the combinatiom with Destroyer Command)

Little story: as a Mini-Modder i modified the the multiplayer datas, to get nearer to the convoy, was easy (but didn´t realized the effect). The Players however were astonished (Ups) and the UBISOFT administrator was......... not amused.
Former UBISOFT-Admin: If you read this now: Beg your pardon, sorry (but you didn`t understand it and you shoudn´t have worked at the silent hunter 5 project)
Like to play SH 3 anytime. It´s my favorite.
Silent Hunter 4: Good, but not good enough. But i like the pacific scenario also.
SH 5 has many opportunities but flunkt it. What a disappointment.

Silent Service was the first U-boat Game. Sub Battle Simulator the first real simulation. Never forget Aces of the Deep! Wow (in those days).

Greetings from Germany
Uwe (How would you pronounce it??)

I started with Silent Service and have bought and played all the Silent Hunter series to date.

Hi!

im relatively new to SH5 (not SUBSIM,)
been playing Sh4 for years..... just picked up Sh5, seems O.K.
its just lacking a few key features, but this can be fixed by modding!
i just discovered a couple must have mods:
TDW's multiple UI+TDC mod,
Open Horizons II
and for fun: Silent Fire SH5,
oh, and i am 20 years old and a college engineering student,
(i go to the University of Michigan.)
just recently bought a new PC rig, i am also a die hard DCS: Black Shark
fan, (look at my sig) and i love Subsims as well,
P.S. PC ALL THE WAY!

cheers,
Yamato_NF
