My generation is capable of some basic understanding of at least 4 languages.
Slovene is mother tongue, we learn english in in elementary, german in high school and we pick up serbo-croation due to our ties to the brother nations of former Yugoslavia. And free italian and french coursea in high school if one chooses.

So not speaking at least english is uncomprehensible to us.
