Yup, I might be a Canadian redneck, but I've been called worse.
At least my house doesn't have wheels, nor were wheels ever on it. I do have 15 Pro Comp 30x9.5x15 mud tires stashed away out of the sun for when I retire.
Slacker?
My lawn tractor is in the uncollapsed garage. Probably with a now dead battery. There is an old window air conditioner in the grotto out back that I use as a table. I also have the remnant floor of a collapsed shed back there. It's covered with assorted junk that won't fit in the garage.

This is what is happening up here.

I just realised why it is snowing. The 4x4's beside the Jeep are to set the snowblower on.

Blech! Snow!

It's warming up here. Enough to shut the furnace down and save some fossil fuel for next winter. Now I have to clean the bloody thing.

The March winds are late and howling out there at the moment. Very disgusty weather.

It's looking to be a perfect spring day here. Currently 64F/18C and looking at a high of 71/22. Planning on a nice walk or bike ride later.

A lovely 10C/50F, especially after exiting the -30C freezer.

I call a guy in to clean my furnace, but I do sweep both woodstove chimneys myself. Every ten years I get a licensed guy to come in and re-certify the chimneys.

Since I burn coal there isn't a need to clean the chimney. (No creosote)

But I do have to wash the pipes and the barometric damper with baking soda and water to arrest the acidic rust. Then scrape down the inside of the stove and shovel/vacuum out the fly ash. Cleaning the glass in the door is the worst part. Then I tuck a drop light with a 40 watt bulb in there to keep it all nice and dry until next heating season. After three winters, I should probably pull the hopper off to clean and lubricate the feeder and the fans too.

Work, work work.

When we burned coal I was too young to care about it.
Back when I was 3 (that was just after the last ice age) my grandparents had a coal furnace that had been converted to oil. Short story, the door blew off the furnace when it lit up. Right across from my bedroom. I never slept in that basement again.

Although that was 64.5 years ago, I still don't trust oil furnaces and I get mine cleaned every year no matter if it has been used for 1 hour or thousands of hours in the winter. I just don't trust them.

Blame it on the blood moon...

Saw an 81 degree day on Saturday. Tonight it's snowing and headed down to 19 degrees.

I scraped 6" of the stuff off my driveway and did two of the neighbours, too.
Snowed all day today.

We already had that. Now it is back into winter. We had a week of warmish weather, between 32F and on up to 50's.
