I've got a feeling the problem's with the 8x00 series of drivers. Looks like the order of enabling each mod has been solved. Peace fell upon the land and it was good.

Now I'm disagreeing with AVG! Woe is me!

Leo and Team,

Just one last request. You can get rid of all charts and ambiguities in the minds of those who are chart-reading challenged by changing the names of the modules slightly to reflect load order.

They would become:
1 ROW Main Load Screen
2 ROW Textures
3 ROW SUB Reflections vs1
4 ROW Ship Reflections vs1
5 ROW Object Reflections vs1
6 ROW Camera vs1
7.1 ROW Classic Zones Special Effects
7.2 ROW Light Zones Special Effects
8.1 ROW_Classic_Sea_Foam
8.2 ROW_Hi_Res_Sea_Foam
9.1 ROW Classic Clouds
9.2 ROW Slower Clouds
9.3 ROW Very Slow Clouds
10 ROW Sound Effects vs1

Then the name of the module would indicate load order. A decimal number would mean that for that ordinal number, you would have to choose one and only one of the set. Between 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3 you can only use one of them. And if you chose not to install one of the modules, as long as the remaining modules were in numerical order you'd be ok. That would be the final solution to all questions, ambiguities, brain farts, confusion and other disruptive postings about "what order should I be installing these in?" THEN peace would be upon all the land. What do you think?

Hiya's,
I am slightly upset i can't seem to run the hi-res sea foam without a stutter when moving cam around

Is this due to my pc spec ?? specs below

Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU
Abit IP35 Pro
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "LGA775 Kentsfield" 2.40GHz
Thermalright SI-128 CPU Cooler
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5
Leadtek GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3
LiteON DH-20A3P-12C 20x DVD±RW x12 Ram Dual Layer DVD-Writer (Black) - OEM
Western Digital WD2500KS (need new one or maybe 2 asap)
All in a great ...........
Lian-Li PC-G70 Aluminum Mid Tower - Silver
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x86

Got latest drivers and vista is up to date patch-wise

I have nice glare and run in what you would call 4x anti-alias (basicly the same settings for SH3 that are configged already in Nvidia control part)

Is this card not up to the hi res sea foam ??
If not would i be better flea-baying it and getting a gtx maybe ???

Cheers

Ciao

All in all some high specs on your machine. Are you also running Anisotropic Filtering? If so, what level? What resolution is your monitor running? My overall system specs are lower than yours and I have to turn FSAA and AA all the way off, but I get smooth performance with high rez sea foam (and all the other ROW stuff) as well as the in-game graphics sliders all the way to the right.

It's always better to get a faster card, but until you do maybe try knocking back the FSAA a little (or turning it off).

I use 4x AA (higher will remove the sunglare with nvidia cards) and 16x AF
I prefer AA and AF over high-res seafoam
CRT Monitor on 1280x1024

p.s. Theres one slider that works opposite.. Left is better.
I thought it was the lod one.

Hmm... I have an 8800GTS (EVGA 640MB - 580MHz) as well, but I'm running the hi rez foam just fine. I know it's subjective but by fine I mean 40 to 70 fps (it flits up and down between those extremes) when I'm in an outside type view in moderate to heavy weather.

I use 4x AA and AF at 1680x1050 with the 163.69 drivers.

Other important system stuff:

E6600
4GB Mushkin PC2 6400 4-4-3-10

Explosions and fire at close range are what get me though.

I sent him a PM about looking for new drivers and or rolling back the one's he has to an earlier vs if they work better. Thanks for catching that theluckyone17.
Thanks for the quick reply guys!

Can you recommend any specific drivers for the 8800 that might work? The screwed up textures are not a big thing- the game runs smooth regardless.

They are talking about the drivers in it and someone said this driver is better. 162.22.

But read it all and see what you need not sure if it is a Vista based driver or an XP

right now I have duel 8500's running and my driver's are 6.14.11.5819 and everything looks great and run's perfect.

Reflections and glare on the water are just stunning.

It was shame I had to ruin their nice day on the water I love the smell of burning oil in the morning. BTW, I heard the screams

Nice job Leo and crew. This is on hell of a mod.

BTW you 8800 card owners.....I do all of this with an ATI X1300 512mb card.....eat your heart out!
