You'll want to stay submerged - in signle mission mode I had a terrible time trying to shoot one of them down.

The former! It's summer 1942 and BDU have sent me over the pond for the first time since I restarted in sept/39 (after GWX 2.1 came out). They've got me patrolling US waters which are only 40m deep, but fortunatly the area seems to be inhabited by nothing more threatening than armed tankers.

And that zeppelin type thing :hmm:

Thanks for the advice! I did I wonder whether to shoot it. I thought maybe it would pop, like a balloon. Then I decided, probably not. I stayed submerged.

They tend to dive slowly into the sea when shot down.

I made a film (K Ship avi) and filmed it during it's pre release date being shot down by 20mm twin mounts.

I'll see if I've still got it.

Thanks Jim, good video - I like the way it lands on the ocean then sinks. I wouldn't be surprised if that required some wizardry. I don't plan to shoot it (now I know it's armed!) but out of curiosity... I noticed it vanished before it'd finished sinking... was that fixed before release or does it still do that?

@HunterICX: You STILL have that speckled camoflage skin for the Empire Freighter? I thought I got rid of those!

TBH, I don't really know for sure (never shot one down since the testing days)

I'm wondering if the enhanced damage effects mod made any difference :hmm:

Might script a mission and try it out
