I've always admired the work of American artist N. C. Wyeth: he covers the whole gamut of romantic history in the US (as well as Arthurian legend) with his beautiful paintings of the Frontier, the Home Front in WW2 and images of Christmas.

All you would-be mountain men should Google this name right away: you'll love him, too...

Those very posh English names with a weird pronunciation (Cholmondley=Chumley, Bicester=Bister, Trottiscliffe=Trossley etc) well I just saw a Realtors sign outside a cottage which read "BELVOIR!" (the exclamation point was in there too): I asked my wife whether they maybe have signs saying that outside posh brothels...
