I'm coming on this topic late, but why are some of you turning on terrapin? What did I miss?

May I suggest that we all just burry the hatchet and move along?

It's over now.

When this thread first started, I post a reply but thought I had misread what the issue was about. At that time I checked out the Real U-boat simualtion site and had no problem accessing it or the downloads.

Thinking that I had missed the point I edited the post to read "please ignore"; you can find it at the top of this thread.

Personally I have found Terrapin's site to be supportive and never questionable. It provides a valuable service to us and especially to those of us who cannot access the likes of rapidshare, etc because of our ISP. It is my intention to continue to support and applaud the hard work down by Terrapin.

I think all this backbiting and name-calling is childish. Terrapin owns his website and he has every right to do whatever the heck he likes with it. And certain moderators should know better how to behave on a web forum. If this sort of nonsense took place on a forum I moderate, the above posts would be deleted because they are nothing more than flame-bait.

That this sort of nonsense should occur on Subsim is a shame. That much of the childish nonsense comes from a moderator is doubly shameful. There is no excuse for the forum moderator trying to cheat the profanity filter.
Agreed...
Anyways, I thought x1 software was the 'enemy'? unnesesscary diversion here if you ask me

Sorry, I'm not trying to stir things up. I was looking at the site in question but all there was were photo galleries. No links for downloads or even an explanation.
Can someone please explain to me what's happening. Has Terraping decided not to host files for download anymore? If he has, I have no beef with his decision, but I'd like to know where else I can go for my SH3 mod needs.

Thank you.

A few people have problems with his site, but for me it works fine.

Try this link, it should bring you directly to the download section:

The Avon Lady has uploaded more than 20 good mods to Filefront, it´s a good alternative if you still cannot access Terrapins site:

I haven't had any probs downloading from site in the past but now I can't access the SH3 General Downloads section .. get a 'not authorized' message etc. I've registered but still no go. So if anyone knows where I can download the radiolog mod (1.4 ready, etc) I'd be grateful for a link that works.

I was on earlier and it worked fine, but now I am getting the same thing...

The "not authorized message" pops up only with the general mods area.

The problem I have is accessing the SH3 General mods screen; all the rest work fine.

I have sent an e-mail to "Terrapin"

The link above though works fine; thank you.
