What we are used to seeing in other supermods and which is not yet officially in LSH :

-Crew on deck
-Uboat pennants (when at home harbour).
-Nice splash waters
-Rubini´s underwater dust&plancton

I can't figure out how to make a search, I can't figure out how to start a new thread I am going to post his in the blind and hope for the best.

I am trying to play LSH3 2020. I installed it just fine. It works. Only issue so far, except for the fact I can't read German, is at night it is so dark I can't see ships if I am right next to them. Is there a fix for this?

HI,

Any help would be appreciated. LSH3-2020 installed successfully. GTX 960 graphics card -- no problems. I noodled thru the JSGME and a couple of other MODs I found scattered around the LSH3-2020 folder.

But the nights are so dark I can be alongside a ship and not see it. Nothing is visible thru the periscope or the UZO. And I know there are crewmen on deck with me but I might be getting a little too familiar with them and not know it.

Any solutions to alleviate the blackout issue?

Good moring to all
I would like to ask if there is or isn't any traffic in the Indian Ocean in LS3 2020.
It is June 1943 game time , and I just enter into the port of Durban (hostile) in SE Africa which was empty.
Also I haven;t found any ship or plane on the way either.
I have checked in the LSH3 2020 manual but I came up empty handed.
Am I missind something?

UPDATE

There is traffic in the Indic but no harbor traffic, except in Colombo. No mystery, no content.

Installed ARB WideGui 1920x1080 v0.3.1 and its just great, it makes the game feel playable again after all these years. Problem is I have a map thats split in two and just a mess I can make no sense of it, when I look for information it seems Im not alone but I am unclear how to fix it.
This is a steam version of the game and from what I have read its been said [S3H]_SH3-H.sie_V16B1-Patch-Kit should be installed first but when I downloaded that file there was a ton of other files and no install instructions. Can anyone advise? am I doing the right thing how should I procced?

Hello,
I downloaded the Mod LSH3 2020, but somehow I cannot install it. Clicking the installation file the smart screen pops up, I clicked "run anyway" but then the error message "could not create folder ".". Access denied" appears.
I have clean installed SH3 from uplay on this location "C:\SH3"
also tried "C:\SilentHunter3" no luck with both of them. I also deactivated every Windows Security, run as administrator, gave the exe all the rights possible... still no luck.

I am running Windows 10.
Any help on this would be awesome. Thank you very much.

Hello L/SH3 friends

We are sorry that some players cannot install Supermod "LSH3-Edition-2020".

Those who have an official UBI license for SH3 can install Supermod "LSH3-Edition-2020" for free.

This applies to ALL SH3 purchasers (from SH3-DVD, SH3-UPLAY, SH3-STEAM or SH3-AMAZON)!

Here are the EXACT installation instructions for a "quick" LSH3 installation:

1. first create a NEW folder yourself, with name "SilentHunter3" (no matter where).

2. start the loaded LSH3-2020-file "LSH3-2020-INSTALLATION.EXE" (as Administrator)

3. select (in the installation programme) your new folder "SilentHunter3" as "SH3 ORIGINAL FOLDER"!

After that, the LSH3 installation will run optimally.

5. pay attention to all further questions in the LSH3 installation program for a successful installation.

Information for L/SH3 players and valued old and new SH3 modders:

We strongly recommend to play the supermod "LSH3 Edition 2020" in "original state" first!

First test out what is already built in and activated in LSH3 (example: HSIE and TYCHO patch).

Or also which LSH3 add-on mods (via LSH3-2020-MODARCHIVE) can be switched on.

Information for all "old" esteemed SH3 modders:

Our supermod "LSH3 Edition 2020" is NOT compatible with GWX 3, WAC XX or the last version CCOM 12.x!

Until today there is no V20 Full-HD-GUI, nor any other V20 add-on mod, which work properly (!).

We appreciate all modder work done for "LSH3 Edition 2020/21".

Please write us here (or to urmel@lsh3.com) if we can verify new work for "LSH3 Edition 2021".

At the moment the LSH3 team is working hard on the new LSH3 version Full-HD-2021.

Would be nice to be able to get rid of Fumb-1 Metox once installed...
It seems that once we have bought the Biscaye Cross, we can’t de-install it later on

like they did when it was become useless...
It should be doable at base in the equipment page...

On side note, it seems it’s like that in any other megamod!

I have returned to try to install LSH3-2020, but find I cannot.
I have downloaded : LSH3-2020-Full and LSH3-2020-Installation files

1.The 'Full' file seems to be a 7z compressed file that I cannot open. I have used 7z for years but have never encrypted anything so there is no password that will permit me to open the '2020-Full' file. I tried 7z Help to set up a 'new' password but that results in an 'Access denied' msg.

2. The 'Installation' file seems to 'extract' 100%, gives me a 'LSH3-2020-Multinstallation.exe Access denied' msg. When I try to run the Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 3 file to run LSHS, it opens with a screen that refers to LSH3-2015 (?) seems to load and then blacks out. LSH3-2015 does not exist on my computer

I can find no independent LSH3 program files loaded anywhere on the drive that would open and run LSH3 , nor can I find any LSH icon or *.exe file for the actual game...so I have assumed that LSH3 modifies the Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 3 files and opens and runs from there. Most frustrating.

Maybe there is a different forum for problems like this, if so, my apologies and please redirect me.
