Evening all, bad start with SH3.exe CTD...But I think I have found the problem. What I did in the past was to make a copy of the Roster & Sea folders as I got so bored with putting new ships in to the game after reinstalling the game, I would just swap them over.

So I took them out and had two back to patrols and rebooted the PC and went back on GWX for another patrol and all was well for all three.

As the saved Files had more ships in them, is this causing a problem with the memory or were those folder(s) corrupt?

Light at the end of the tunnel, I hope so.

Will post again next weekend on future results.

sounds like atleast one of the files could have been corrupt or it might be alittle bit of both. Corrupt and too many ships. I know some mods do use alot of ram like all the ships in port use alot of ram. Too many ships could turn it to become unstable. Who knows. Its a big process of elimenating.

In your list you don't seem to have many ships added, if you had the Merchant Fleet mod installed I would recommend disabling that, the only other big one you have on top of GWX3 is the GWX 3 St Naz and Schluese V3 mod, you could try disabling that but you would have to start a new campaign.
Also you will get CTD's by enabling/disabling mods (removing ships especially) and loading an old save instead of starting a new patrol.

Had a spin today and all went well, I only loaded Von Doss big ships he did which I feel I could not do without but have decided to stop there. Loaded SH3C and a small selection of must have mods, so I shall see how it goes from now on.
