![]() ![]() ![]() My brother just tells me he has a global ban on COD4 for "wallhacking" or something. ![]() Sorry to laugh, but he got what he deserved. That bunny-hopping brat. ![]() * Now i feel bad, darn conscience. He says he didn't hack at all; would really suck to be banned for no reason after sinking so much time into it. ![]()

Stopped playing BF2 online when hackers figured out how to rain a continuous stream of UAV's from the sky. Would lag up and eventually crash the server.

The only thing that ever really consistently gets me to quit is when I keep getting stuck with the horrible team (we've all been on that team!). Nothing makes me question why I play Battlefield 2 more than when I'm stuck respawning on an aircraft carrier that just keeps getting the **** blown out of it. After a while I either quit or sit back and watch the team scramble once again for the chopper and sure enough get blown up. lol it's an awfully pathetic sight. ps. I hate to admit this, but I love it when some griefer/idiot pilot loads up a chopper and then pilots everybody to their doom. Sometimes into a mountain, sometimes out in the middle of the ocean, and sometimes right back into the rest of the team. It's friggin timeless fun ![]() |

We got some servers up n running here(we don't play on the international servers as the international bandwidth is costly, and local is cheap).
the guys playing all are regulars(and our gaming community is small) and seem to know each other personally, (admins play most nights) so hackers are quickly found out and..."uninvited". So if the ping ain't too bad, try sgs in the server search. The servers are accessible from international sources. |

I'm certainly not the best player or anything, but sometimes I'm on a team so hopeless that the enemy simply has everything, even our own turf locked down. I remember this happening a lot on wake. I spawn on the island with the arty and I'm getting bombed from enemy aircraft or picked off by snipers and tanks or worse, the enemy decided to make camp there and destroy the arty and anybody spawning. The boats, even the ones from the carrier, are completely unable to make it to the mainland without being destroyed (mostly by enemy aircraft). Our own aircraft are either bombed where they spawn or swiftly taken out by better pilots. Sure I might get lucky and manage to grab a point with a few other guys for a brief moment, but it just never seems to go anywhere when the enemy team is way better. Also, I like to play the big servers (i like that little war feeling with so many people) so it gets pretty easy for a better team to lock the map down. It really does wind up being a hopeless situation. I usually prefer to blame the pilots. The aircraft in that game can give you hell. A team with a really good pilot or two can do wonders. I wish the AA defenses were better... When the game turns into this (really it only ever happens for me sometimes on that 24/7 wake server), the only entertainment I get is in trying to foil the enemy rambo squads that try to infiltrate the carrier. |

I've noticed with games like BF2 which records your Status and achievements brings out the worst in gamers.

I agree with the point of playing online with people you know. I sometimes get together with friends on Red Orchestra, and we organise as realistic a game as possible. Instead of everyone running around aimlessly, we set up fronts and send out squads to scout. Its a bit like a sniper server. Far more fun than getting owned by a 14 year old boy who's been playing since he was concieved.

I hate seeing people do things they normally wouldn't do just because they want the medal/achievement. Especially when it means they aren't helping the team because of it. |

I used to play back while i was in. A bunch of us off the boat would all get home at the same time and log onto whatever server we wanted. Usually when we joined that was the most teamwork that server had seen all day.
