Several new things perhaps? - Page 4

Not much new has happened the past few days.
Have adapted the bow a bit and am trying to give the bow a nicer shape but family issues and other financial stuff plus shopping for clothes makes me halt the project for a day.
I will try to work on the hull tomorrow further !

the 3d model of the hull is looking better and better as improvements take place.
The fact it's a sailing vessel and not a cargo makes it more difficult due to all the extra shapes and stuff.

I can send the file to anyone who likes to see it in wings3d.
I now find it good enough to show it to others to ask their opinion.

I hope to finish the hull today and start with the upperstructure.

Making the masts in a seperate file now and will then put everything together.

Making the 3D model will be finished pretty soon i think.

Then i guess it's time to start on the second part of hard work.

Pff it's starting to make me insane at the moment !
I downloaded so many of the suggested software and nothing works to import !
Something is wrong with the file type but i can't save it in something else in wings3d!

Nope not really :s
I can save it in other files but they aren't compatible for opening in the other software

Damn can anyone help?

Can save them in 3ds file and then via windows explorer i can open it with glc player so i guess that i will do it that way

Trying to combine everything together now.

Enough for today!
It ain't easy that's for sure!!!
I need to redraw the hull again because there is something wrong with it.

Now i do need some advice on how to combine several files together.
For instance attach my masts to the hull and so on.

Then maybe some advice in how to colour it. and make it look like a real ship.
I'm just mixed up at the moment with the several softwares i downloaded on the advice of you all.

and it also look s that there aren't many modders around here alive so that makes it even more painful to me.
Or you guys just don't want to help. If so please just say and i won't bother u guys again

Anyway i guess my ideas or mod aren't very good for you guys.
I'll just leave you all alone then.
And try on my own further but i doubt without any help that's possible.

it's just easier if someone says now use that program and combine by doing that. Colouring is with that and just try give it colours and such.

I'm used doing things on my own but i only need some handy advices in how to begin.
Remember this is the first time i try this so the next time it will be much easier for me.
But for now i'm off! see you guys

Ok now i got some stuff cleared out.

So this is the situation!

Now i will use the software as iambecomelife uses.
the wings3d software works perfectly for me.
Then i will use silent3ditor and pack3d and photoshop.

BUT pack3d won't work

I will ask him again in a private message because my topic ain't popular.
I will be making a new one when the mod is finished however.

has anyone a direct link to this pack3d because apparently i download the wrong software for it.
My google gives me the wrong links to it.
I also can't save the wings3d files in a good filetype for opening it with silent3ditor anyone got some advice on that?

If someone can help me with this?
Due to the fact that no help is arriving my progress is going way too slow even for me

I'm just stuck at the moment.
I guess i will make some other 3d models in the meantime until help arrives.

I throw the towel in the ring.
I can make some 3d models but i just do so many things that my work doesn't improve at all.
Playing guitar and making amplifiers already takes all the time i have so i really can't combine making a sailing mod.
I already saw an interior 3d mod for some subs and it would also be useless for me to try to work on such a thing if others already made it so perfect.
