An idea that was offered to me by alex and which ive been playing with is to have the envelope deflate once the airship is destroyed. Kinda like how the ships break in the middle Id like to model the envelope sagging and upon impact with the ocean produce a drifting fabric debris. But as im new to SH3 and GWX modding not sure how to best go about it or if its even possible still not sure on the crew models that seem to be used by the general modelers, is it a set crew thats available in SH3 or just general release somewhere.

Any help or comments as always are appreciated

That exhaust pipe on the engine looks amazing. As a matter of fact, the whole thing does.

Zeppelins are in GWX, right?

I'm really impressed with the current Max renderings and at the relatively low poly count. I think (at the moment) you are on par with some of the larger ships, so not to shabby.

I'm sure that you are aware of this but obviously once this is in game the games rendering engine takes over and things will look a little different. I really look forward to the first ingame shots.

Keep up the good work.

Yep I know Ive done all these renders with only basic lighting and render engine so to try and give as close as possible view of the finished ingame piece so im hoping it will look better ingame. Still need to get hold of a plugin for max to allow me to export the models correctly for SH3.

I meant in the upcoming release. Or maybe that's what you meant.

As for them deflating when you destroy them, this might be possible if you have the deflated balloon be the actual model, and then have it carry the intact balloon model around that as cargo, the way cargo ships carry containers. So when it's destroyed, the 'cargo' explodes, and you see the deflated form as it goes down. I hope you know what I mean.

Again, this may not be possible, but it's an idea.
