The black one is just a conversion from the completed grey one.

Think I solved this by making the conning tower texture a bit brighter than the body

Trying to match colors in skinning was always a pain, especially in IL2.

I love SH-IV, but the way they built up the subs is a pain in the ass

@FooFighters, you should still try to toy with the brightness and contrast settings. It did the trick for me but I'm using Paint Shop Pro 8... :hmm: But if you're unable to solve that then maybe you should send those files to me and I'll see what I can do
