I'm amazed that the Devs never figured out how cool it would be to be able to move around in the boat. Why bother with the interior modeling at all if the UI pretty much requires the use of station jumping by clicking buttons? SH4 is a step backwards in immersion and UI.

I'd like to have the feeling, the immersion of actually moving from station to station. Also, this game requires you to spend so much time at the nav map on high TC, that they should have let you do high TC from the boat interior views. If the 3d nav map actually showed your position (like the one in SH3), then you could stand in the control room at high TC and watch your position move on the 3d map. This would allow FAR better immersion in the game.
