Default To all those dissatisfied with SH4

Please. For the love of the lord, get over it.

Yes. Ubisoft suck for rushing the devs.
Yes. There are alot of things unfinished.
Yes. There are alot of bugs.
Yes. There are things we'd like to see that arent in there.

But remember amongst all your complaints, that there's a team of devs in Romania working their butts off to make up for it, and working their butts off to bring us a truly great sim.

That cant be achieved when the best source for bug information and suggestions - the players and this community - whines and complains that something or other doesnt work, or something or other isnt in there, knowing that Emil and his troops are doing their best to rectify the situation.

Dont get me wrong. There have been numerous constructive, and very helpful posts and threads, and I appreciate how people are trying to give everyone temporary fixes till the new patch comes out. But for christ sake, enjoy the game whilst you wait. Remember, time spent complaining means less time finding something you like.

I hear you, and even though I made my post about the negative stuff, I still agree..

But don't think for one minute that the DEV'S really look at this board or any board to see what bugs are out there..

They do their own testing.. And obviously my point will be proven when the next patch comes out with bugs still in place..

Quite the contrary, it was this community that hassled the devs for a dynamic campaign in SH3. Devs do indeed visit this forum, hence why the higher powers have culminated all the bugs into one place.

Agreed Kapt. I notice a few things requested that are in the SH4 game...longer repair times for one. Dynamic campaigns for two

Well it wouldn't be the first time I am wrong

But in all reality I cannot wait to play SH4, I like most of you, still love sub games, at the current moment I just got into GWX, yea I never even knew it existed. The GWX mod for SH3 is so sick, I cannot get over that damn game..

So I will be back all, trust me, give me some months, in the meantime I will be upgrading my computer to handle the max of SH4. Which was beutiful

hops!
There is a Dynamic campaigns?!?
Are you sure?
Then it does't work
4 times the same patrol zone
4 times the same missions
I'm quite sure......the same contacts in the same zone

Not the first time that happened, i'm quite sure
Sometimes work, sometimes not

You are sooooooo wrong I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Just because you may not be involved in the process, don't think for a second that others aren't.

What you don't seem to get is just because they don't post here doesn't mean they aren't reading the boards.

Besides...if they did post here people would be all over them with tons of questions that the devs don't have time to answer...they do have other things they need to do...like "work".

I for one can not remember at anytime in the history of PC gaming, a game that was released in a "perfect" state. Even if relatively bug free, you would still read "They got this wrong." or "This should be like that." ect.

For such a short development time, I think this is a great sim as it is, given the scope of the project. We could all be twiddling our thumbs and posting "Hurry up and finish" threads, instead of playing a very playable if not perfect sub sim, if Ubi desided to wait until it was 100% polished and tested to the max.

Sure some of the bugs are readily odvious and should have been detected during beta, but we all know issues with it will be resolved asap, and having the game on PC's world wide, all bugs will show much sooner and be able to be fixed in far less patches and development time.

We are all testers of this game. Well written feedback to Ubi will yield far better results than some of the very negative feedback I've read.

Just my 2 cents, I'm not trying to ruffle feathers here.

LMAO!! that's cute.. was that picture taken at sears??

Look, I could care less if they read it or not. But the proof IS NOT IN THE PUDDING! If they read anything on this board, years ago when we had millions of post's about wishlist's you think they would add those things? Maybe atleast 30% of most of the wishlist's??

Bottom line is they cheaped out on alot of stuff and they can because this game is not a big ONLINE game where people will talk and the word will spread..

95% of people that buy this game will be by impulse " Look a sub game "
not like many other games..

In anycase a picture of Dev with a book open to some specs of a sub and his monitor on our forum really doesn't tell me much other than someone like Neil had contact and asked for this set up picture to be taken..

Again if they really read this board the way you all think they do there would be allot more responce, I can bet at this point most of the Dev's are retired with this game except a few just to fix some stuff, and that won't even be focused much because they have other projects to get to.

I'm enjoying the ever-living-crap out of it. It is a great game despite the glitch or two. I love my wife and I enjoy the ever-living-crap out of her despite the glitch or two she has. Can the development team look into patching her?

I love SH4, I think the PPF graphics are just wonderful and career is nice. I'm patiently waiting on a patch

A glitch or two?????

That's like calling the Ice Age a minor cold snap.

Get real people. I'm sitting here looking at over 500 PC game boxes on the shelves in my game room collected and played over the last 15 or so years and SH4 is right up there in the top 10 of most buggy games on release I've ever played. In fact I'm trying real hard to think of one that was buggier and all I can come up with is Man of War published by Strategy First about 8 or 10 years ago and 360's WWII in Europe game - Command Decision or something like that.

Why can't y'all call a spade a spade? Ubi blew it. The developers blew it. If SH4 was beta tested at all would be a real big surprise AND if it actually was the beta testers all ought to be taken out into the woods, stripped naked, covered with honey and staked out on a fire ant hill - along with the devs and the UBI suits that let this abomination out the door unfinished. That's SH4's major problem. It isn't finished, it wasn't tested (no way).

Sorry but playing nice isn't gonna cut it this time.
