Default Do you mean because it says it's 11:20 PM?

Well in SH3 time is linked to European time (Berlin, maybe BDU?) and if you hover the mouse over it it shows local time. Try that gronbek, maybe it's supposed to be the time in Washington D.C. or something? :hmm:

Now, that would be cool, all time expressed in GMT, just like a chronometer. I wasn't going to touch on it appearing to be not a 24 hour clock.

I would like to recommend that you take a very close look at the bottom of his first pic. Not the second pic.. the first one.

Good eyes, I did not see that down on his khaki sleeve. But, what is the P 11 20 then?

"And the sun was shining with all his might, which was odd, the Walrus said, because it was the middle of the night," or something like that.

In post # 47 when gronbek says ( above piv ) Something is not right with the time I think he may be refering to this said by his NA........Time to end is 0.7 hrs.............which is 3/4 of an hour ( or allfull close to it ). But that should be the answer to where ever he requested the trip end which is not listed in either pic.

OOHH here it is:

At the bottom of first pic it says.............January 1, 1943 Local time: 22:20 ( or 10:20 P.M. ) and to the right of that it says P 11:20 which should be 23:20 (11:20 P.M. ) which is the subs home time. Thats a bug but can be lived with and easly straightened out.

Hi,

Well, I got an old AMD 4000+ machine with ATI 1950 graphics card
I have not had time to start the campaign yet. Maybe tomorrow.
Too much fiddling around :p

Some things I have noticed.
I miss the watch command from SH3 report closest visual contact.
And the manual is lacking in describing the crew management. Dont understand the new layout.
Crew watchmen slightly transparent. I can see the land mass through their heads
Miss the captains quarter
There is a grainy haze covering the game image. Like an old movie but not that visible.
There is no periscope height meter.
The sound balance is slightly off. I can barely hear the crew confirmations, but the gunshots from deck gun are too loud.

Beyond the 0.7 hrs. thing I'm not sure just what gronbek was refreing to.
Hi,
Sorry if it got confusing
Both images taken during the same game minute.
Strange thing is that it says local time 22.20 evening. Sun is shining brightly.
And where I live it is 21.15 according to windows clock. I first thought local time was the time windows reported.
And in the right lower corner second image it say 11.20 morning. P is pause button.

Maybe there is sound adjustment on the options screen like in SH3 ?

About the periscope having no height meter, I think that in American subs the 'scope could just be extended or retracted fully, without any fine-tuning. I've understood that this is compensated for by having the boat at a slightly lower depth. But someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

Didn't Bledsoe in "Run Silent, Run Deep" (novel), order the boat down another half-foot during his ill-fated qualifcation?

Thanks for sharing these with us. Is there an option to turn that hollywood nonsense off?

I tried all the settings at different values. But it did not help the problem.
Maybe its my soundcard, dont know. Its not that serious.

gronbek, guess you were posting while I was editing my post after looking over your post #47 again. Yes thats still a bug I believe about 11:20 for that would be A.M. Didn't know the P meant pause as I thought it was short for P.M. as a lot of games use it that way. ( ) I still think the 11:20 is probably meant to be one hour difference ( Subs home time ) than the 22:20 way to the left in pic. and should be 23:20.

Someone will track it down before long I'll bet.
