Yes, I know what you mean. Well it wouldn't be the first time.

I give you exhibit A:

What movie was exhibit A? (I have wanted to order the film for years but could not remember the name.)

Exhibit A is not from a movie but a british sitcom series. "Blackadder", if I'm not mistaken. Typical absurd-commedy style. I don't know which season this is from but do know the storyline (the scene of the image) is set on the 1st world war. As opposed to earlier seasons that started with more historic brittish events of kings and knighthoods and stuff.

p.s. Oops, I just noticed this message had a huge gyro error when fired. Back to topic. Cool mod

Sorry sir. If my post wasn't good enough for you, perhaps I shouldn't post here anymore then. It was nice knowing you all, bye.
Oh good grief! I stated an opinion, I didn't kick you or insult your mother! You're post was fine, even funny. I just thought a direct response to a post I made more than a year ago was a bit odd, is all.

Don't be so sensitive. I apologize. Come back and play.

To add a little further detail re. "Exhibit A"

The still is from the final episode of the 1989 BBC TV series "Blackadder Goes Forth" The previous three series of Blackadder were set:

1 - Medieval times
2 - Elizabethan times
3 - Regency times

The fourth and final series was set in 1917 during World War 1. The final episode has become legendary. In it, after managing to avoid combat for years, Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) and the other regulars are finally forced to go " over the top" to certain death.

The still shows Capt. Edmund Blackadder's last attempt to avoid being uselessly slaughtered. On advice from General Haig ( who owes Blackadder a favour ) he pretends to have gone mad by wearing underpants on his head, putting two pencils up his nose and constantly saying "Wibble." It doesn't work , as mad General Melchett decrees that anyone pretending to be mad in this way will be instantly shot by firing squad.

And so we come to the iconic final scene, where Blackadder, Baldrick, Captain Darling, Lt. George ( Hugh Laurie of "House" fame ) and the troops leave the trench and start to cross no-man's land under withering fire. The scene freezes with them charging towards the camera in smoke and bursting shells to the sound of machine-gun fire; then dissolves into a huge sunlit field of poppies. It's notable that the still of the poppy field is held for over one minute with no end credits and in total silence.

Lots of people share the opinion that the final episode of Blackadder goes Forth ranks amongst the greatest pieces of television comedy/drama ever produced.

C'mon TR, Steve's post was not that hostile.

Plus, folks here know that if a an older thread is brought back from the great beyond, other's here are going to have something to say about it. The majority of time folks just have a bit of fun with it. Funny pics you posted by the way.

Danke Sailor Steve, I accept your apology though please let me add that it's not necessary. And thanks for the advice, especially the bit about not kicking me and mentioning my Mother. That was very... magnanimous... of you sir! I'm just curious though... why did you think it was a "bit odd" for me to thank Payoff for his cool mod? Strange... I thought he did a superb job and I appreciate his time and effort. Sorry, but I'm still going to thank him for it anyway even if it's fifteen years later after the last post. That's the only reason I posted here. Looks like it didn't hurt to promote it either. I assure you, my attempt at pictoral humour was a mere afterthought. Looks like I'd better be more careful if I ever want to risk thanking the modders for their hard work again, lest I run the risk of offending you on "your" forum mate.

PS: By the way, speaking of giving thanks to Payoff here for his great work... I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Sailor Steve for your outstanding work on SH3Commander. It wouldn't be the same without you.

PPS: Von Manteuffel! Very well said! Very vell said indeed, I salute you sir! Sing with me now! Sing! "# Row Row row your punt, gently down the stream..."
