We see them now and then here in the forest, mostly wild sows with piglets, but they never entered our ground/garden around the house. Roe deer with kids, foxes, martens, hedgehogs yes, they come very close.

Run from a pig? Texas is a stand your ground state and has some of the best BBQ pit masters in the U.S.

Must admit the first thing that came into my mind when I read the first comment was Asterix and his friend Obelix, who is a big lover of whole BBQ wild hogs.
Back to serious discussion. We have some problem at the Danish German border. The Danish government has build a very long fence to prevent these wild pigs entering Denmark. The funny thing is, for every xxx meter there's xx meter gap so other not so harmless animal can pass. Markus

All quiet last night. Hard to believe a mere dash of water could run them off but hey, it's raining today and that will help my lawn smooth out.

You should be looking at this as a business opportunity. It's Texas, so brisket is king, but BBQ boar is amazing...

^ well they feed entirely on insects and spiders, problem is they are good at digging.
Be happy that the 10-feet one-ton armadillo Glyptodon has become extinct
