OK then, here's a random thought: wasn't Christmas brilliant when we were kids? No school for two weeks; Morecambe And Wise on the telly; sodding huge presents to unwrap; turkey for dinner... wouldn't it, then, have been absolutely perfect if we'd been allowed to get pissed as well?
