Ah, I should have figured out that it indeed IS a seaplane capable of using underwater airfields.

How about takeoff's? I assume they fill those thick, low wingloading wings with helium for extra lift and that'll do it.

This painting by Michael Turner shows a British helicopter 'Humphrey' dropping depth charges on the Argentine submarine Santa Fe. The Santa Fe was badly damaged and had to limp back to port and was abandoned.

Thanks for posting! Yes, i meant the Sea King.
Apart from my army time later we flew as passengers with a civilian S 61 from Penzance to the Scilly islands, and back. First the Hovercraft, then that.. was one of the best holiday times, as a child

Ah, right......not seen a German Sea King in diecast but some of the Tornados (for example) do look rather nice.
