Hi all! Hi Neal!
In both! I subsim on for almost a year, and just now saw this topic!
Well, I am Russian, my name is Alexander, I'm 37, have two children. Listen to music different, before listening to disco, and now more and more rock, hard rock, gothic rock Within temptation, Nightwish, Nazareth, Metalica, Scorpions, Rammstein. So it is our, Russian rock Aria, Epidemic, Alisa, Picnic and many other
Became interested in games much later - somewhere in the 2000 - 2001 year. At the same contingent of games is a narrow one - for now I prefer SH, Half Life, Star craft.
About U-sims learned only in 2008. After seeing the film Das Boot was so intrigued by submarines since WWII that got the idea to look submarine simulator and immediately found SH3. Since SH is still my main game.

Default Brief introduction

Gentleman,

My name is Frederick And I live in San Miguel de Allende , Mexico, though I'm an American.

As a retired airline pilot I've been an ardent user of Flight Simulator for five or six years now but I am absolutely new to submarine simulators and am most impressed with my new Silent Hunter 5 and the whole SH 5 community and forum.

At this point all I know about submarines is what I learned at my father's knee as a child. He was an officer on an Everts class destroyer escort, the USS Harold C. Thomas DE-21, in both the Atlantic and the Pacific during WW II.

I most look forward to joining you here on the forum under the name of "Quink"

Hello folks ...

My name is Steve Röhm and just wanted to say thanks to everyone. I used to play Jane’s simulations a lot back in the day. Now I’m trying to get through the Silent Hunter series.

Best regards.

Default back to it

my name is cbiskit and i started playing sh5 the day it came out, unfortunatly with the problems it had back then i gave up on it almost as fast as UBI did. i have been hearing alot of chatter lately that some life has been brought back to this title. so i have come back to try this one more time.

Hi,
my name is Johann and I live in Cape Town South Africa. I'm probably the only South African here. I am a police man and when I'm off duty I enjoy playing PC games especially Silent Hunter 5.

WELCOME ABOARD, JOHANN!

Actually you're not alone. We have at least one other South African. I can't remember who it is though.

BlueZulu was one IIRC but they don't appear to have any posts.

Wasn't Thor or some similar sounding name from SA?

New to SH5 but not new here! I was active a while ago in the SH3 boards, and the Enigma pages...

but kinda lost it because of work and ArmAII...
got SH5 last Friday, played it almost constantly since, with some mods it's almost playable!

still not happy with the DRM <whoops different thread!
