Default Subsim Machinima Festival

8 hours till entries close. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...81&postcount=1

I'm expecting to finalise the winners in about a week depending on how many reruns I need to sort out the judging. Prizes will be sent out to the winners after they have been announced. I'm also working on a certificate and sig for the winners.

Last call before judging starts!

Current Navy Field Fleet:

HMS Verdict, Not used much these days but I do wubs her. Full complement of Dual 5.25Inch Guns, capable of both anti-ship and anti aircraft duty, a very versatile and powerfull cruiser.

HMS Sotaroas (Bow Warrior, actually warriors but eh)

My main ship for now, don't like her too much but its kinda needed on the path to the county, armed with Triple 6" Guns, but no backup weapons due to the fact that I have rookie pilots I'm training for my future carrier in those slots.

Both captained by the illustrious BO named Dowly, no wonder I keep sinking. :rotfl:

I had a great match against my friend last night. As you can see by the timer, its 15 minutes left of a 90 minute battle, and we are still pretty much status quo. The buildings in the middle there are shot to pieces, and his forces are just behind the trees in the bottom of the screen, including a very annoying 26 pounder. Every time one of us tried a push it was knocked back by mines, mortars and at shells. This game (Men of War) is highly addictive in multiplayer! You should have seen his face when I crawled through the forrest with a scout and planted a dynamite charge behind his huge cannon.:rotfl:

A M551 Sheridan takes an AT round during a battle in farmland south of Seattle, 1989.

Eh its been so long since I played RTR but.

RTR expands on Vanilla.

EB makes it an entirely new game.

True dat.

EB is completely beyond RTW. Apart from hard-coded stuff, nearly everything has been changed. Also, 4 turns per year is nice, and more accurate.

You can try both out, but I tried RTR first and quit immediately. I didn't feel it

EB is great, ads a lot more depth to the normaaly rather basic campaign map. AI during battles is more challenging as well. If you're interested in history, the historically accurate representation is a big bonus as well.
