What is so maddening is that I know that face, but the only figures I can recall who were admired by AH were Frederick the great, Nietzsche and Wagner, and I know that it's none of these.

WE know the happy ending on that fairytale BBY When Germany 'came a krupper'
I knew I'd seen him in William Manchester's The Arms of Krupp Founder Alfred Krupp Indeed, unable to sell his steel cannon, Krupp gave it to the King of Prussia, who used it as a decorative piece. The king's brother Wilhelm, however, realized the significance of the innovation. After he became regent in 1859, Prussia bought its first 312 steel cannon from Krupp, which became the main arms manufacturer for the Prussian military.
