Passions: Making Experimental Electronic Music, Punk Rock, Industrial Music, Stockhausen,Dada, Tape Music (Musiq Concrete), Board Wargames, Pencil and Paper Role Playing Games, Hardcore Computer Simulations especially those dealing with realistic naval stuff or spaceflight, computer board style war games, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Comic Books (Marvel only), Cosmology, Theoretical Physics. I collect virtually every board game I can get my hands on.


Favorite video games: City of Heroes, Dangerous Waters, Silent Hunter III, Harpoon3 ANW, Harpoon4 miniatures, Conquest of the Agean, Highway to the Reich, Neverwinter Nights.

How I Found Subsim: I worked at Staples in the business machines area. I spotted 688i Hunterkiller gold on the shelf for like $12 and snatched it up. A friend of mine worked on the USS San Juan and it was shortly after he had given me a grand tour of the submarine so I was VERY interested in subs at this point. The game hooked me like no other at the time.. so much so that I bought two copies so my roomate and I could play against each other. It was so cool to be able to take command of the sub that I had just toured with my buddy.
After my roomate decided that he couldn't stand 688i Hunterkiller (He was more of an action "shoot-em-up-arcade-explosions etc..." kind of player), I was unable to find online opponents for a long time. Then Sub Command arrived at our store for like $20 *YOINK !!!*. It was durring my online quest to find opponents for multiplayer that I stumbled upon Subsim. I've pretty much been lurking in the background all these years and I was shy about posting until this past year when I picked up Silent Hunter III and discovered the fantastic stories that can come out of it.

@Penelope_Grey - I still reckon Alien vs Predator 2 is one of the scariest games I've ever played. Especially the Marine campaign where you have to run through the eggpit

How did I find Subsim?
I dont remember

I think it was when I tried playing Dangerous Waters, and I was looking all over for tutorials and such. Subsim had a few for me to look at, but I didnt really play it. When I picked up Silent Hunter 3 last year, I came back for more help, but liked the look of the community, so I decided to join and stick around

What Games Do I play?
Besides SH3, alot. I love RPGs, Space Sims, Action, Adventure, and FPS. I played AVP2 for a number of years, and was very active in the clan scene, being both a member of [YSL], and later {RSC}, as probably the best Heavy Predator you'd ever fight with class weapons on

Usually, when I get tired of SH3 for a while, I switch over to playing X3: Reunion. I guess after causing hell to an economy, I like to build up my wallet. If only it was real money :hmm:

Oh, and EVE Online, although I've been inactive for a while.

About Me
Lets see, I'm a college student, hoping to work my way back into a University in a few years. Currently dont have a specific career in mind, but I'm looking into Computer Forensics and Network Security. I love music, being a huge fan of Metal. Favorite band is without a doubt Tyr, although I listen to alot of other bands. Hell, I listen to nearly anything. A look at my computer will show anything from Classical, to Techno, to Black Metal. I'm a friendly guy, although I'm shy in real life. I read alot, although I dont really have any favorite authors, its usually whatever looks good. I read alot of Norse Mythology (i.e. the Eddas) and Icelandic Sagas though, my favorite saga so far is Egil's Saga (I still need to find Njal's Saga).

I'm both a nerd and a geek, through and through, and luckily, my girlfriend of nearly 2 years shares this with me, so it does make life alot easier. Other then that, I'm drawing a blank. No pictures, since I cant find any good ones.
