Some anti virus programmes do not like .exe as they treat them suspiciously as carrying a virus.

I've spent the day trying to work out this supermod. It's been a long time since I made anything with SH3 work properly. I'd like to know if there is a teamspeak with folks on it that I could connect too, so I could get help fast and concisely.

I can run academy and single missions ok but when I try to set up a new career the loading bar freezes? I disabled single mission 'fast load' in JSGME but still no careers option! Anyone know why it should hang and stop during career loading screen?

Do you mean you it does not load to the menu?
Go to C:\documents can you see the V15 folder?

Yep, sure can. Subsequent attempt was ok through SH3 Commander. I think I was being impatient and not waiting long enough for the mission to start, it seems to be a large file.

Thank you THEBERBSTER for the suggested reading, I'll check those out. However, my problem is not occurring during installation. I can launch the game, and I can even get into the naval training, such as the navigation, and deck gun walkthroughs. However, without fail, every time the game fails too load into a career. It simply won't do it. I've installed 3 times, trying something a little different each time, but all three times, all that I can access is the Naval Academy.

Thanks for the welcome, but I've been a member for years, and at one time, I even had around 500 posts. Although I have no idea why that's gone...

Install went fine on Windows 10 full updated
never crashed to desktop
don't run antivirus

install path C:\silent hunter 3
yes, ran as admin, otherwise, it fails
Windows 10
I enabled the main mod, then launched the game, tried to start a career, game failed to load
i enabled the main mod, and the gui mod, then tried, no dice
the game doe snot crash, it just never finishes loading. The red progress bar gets 99% finished, and quits.
I don't care too finish the naval acadamy, is that required too play the career? I've played several hundred hours of Silent Hunter games, Don't need it
I have set the compatability mode on the .exe too windows 7, and left it alone, neither work

I'm quite confident that the download was not curropt, my ISP is very fast and reliable. I downloaded the file in less than 15 minutes.
